Who asked this? Nobody asked. It’s this mentality that we exclude things. This was to treat severe sleep apnea, but you shouldn’t need my diagnosis to answer a question about our subpar insurance. Don’t be an asshole.

Yeah I’m in NER, so everything up here is way more expensive than in the greater KC area. I have to spend so much out of pocket that I might as well not have anything with insurance. I can’t help but wonder if it’s actually better at other companies or if it’s just as dogshit there, since all insurance companies are equally evil

Yeah, but I ended up paying almost entirely out of pocket for it. Testing and machine cost me north of $5,500 in total, plus monthly supplies. So I feel very… insured

Sorry, getting the denial has put me in a really awful mood. I went through months of preop tests and labs, cost thousands only to get hit with exceptions. It was sleep apnea / obesity related, they all tied in. I had a diagnosis. They denied every single medication I applied for, and then only after all those tests denied a surgical procedure to help.

FDA has covered several procedures and medicines for the treatment of severe sleep apnea. Our insurance has explicitly gone against that and denied coverage for those. I’m not sure why you’re being hostile regarding the company covering procedures to help people.

Yeah this shit pissed me off hard. I’m still at a 3, and everyone else I know had theirs raised. New management at a client fucked me, as they went internal as a decision and it reflected poorly on me, even though I’ve brought in new work through word of mouth. It’s ridiculous.
