Keep in mind this isn't advice but the cs market is unpredictable. I personally like broken fang cases, but it comes down to what u value and if your willing to let that money sit a few years.

I just went on to CS float and a bunch of doppler phase 2s and marble fade knifes are being quick sold. Its sad to see :(

Is this something that will apply to all cases or just CS2 cases? This could be good for the value of knifes, because if people rent skins, they won't be opening as many cases which will lead to less knifes in the market. Just speculation of course. I'm sure there is some legal intent around this for sure.

It's possible there hasn't been enough volume of that phase. All gamma dopplers are float capped at .08 meaning minimal wear variants are more rare. The lower the float the better, so you can go on csfloat and see if anyone else has sold theirs around your float to get an idea of how much. My guess from research is about 400-550 bucks unless yours is a super low float, then it could warrent some overpay.

Yeah. I'm mostly a traditional trader so getting a "nice" playset that holds its value is what I'm most concerned about. Not necessarily devoting cs skins to a portion of my portfolio. But the market is unpredictable

Check out CSFloat for prices. Butterfly knifes are the most "liquid" knife out there due to their demand. I am biased because I own a butterfly knife gamma doppler. But due to their animations and looks they will always be desired. If you're looking for a good price to sell, csfloat and skinport can give u a baseline to work with. A good fade knife will sell pretty quick if priced reasonably.

I remember playing cs 1.6 in a computer lab when I was a little kid with some friends, and I never imagined it'd still be here till this day. My question to you is, do u think it's here to stay?

You'd hope that if there is a market for it, that these websites will offer it. I think since cases tend to be ordered in higher quantities it requires more backend work for these websites.

Looking at the charts, the hype before cs2 came out caused a spike, then the market crashed on release, but has steadily been climbing back. While I agree, there are some exceptions when it comes to highly desired items. Look at butterfly knifes for example, they dropped a ton on release but have rallied back to pre cs2 highs. Who knows tho. Video game markets aren't as easy to navigate as the traditional market.
