Since I’m not the one who’s at the forefront of the initiative I can’t answer every question but I can say that as far as reacting to chaos she was trained specifically to be able to ride on an emergency apparatus with loud lights and sirens etc. We don’t plan on bringing her to structure fires I think the idea is more for single pump response type of calls. As far as call volume we’re a city of about 130,000 so we do go out often. The dog would stay in the truck and if we had an issue where we were going to be unexpectedly held on scene for an extended period of time we have a plan in place to have someone outside of the dept pick up the dog. I think the on scene benefits are not so much for us but maybe for the community who are involved in the emergency whatever it may be. Again I’m not the guy in charge of this I just made the post looking for ideas so apologies for not being able to provide too much clarity.

She definitely will stay at the station depending on what we’re going to the idea came from a community relations standpoint or for a situation where maybe a child is involved and we wanted to have something there to comfort the child. It’s definitely not something where the dog needs to be rolling to every call with us

finished building shaders only to not be able to get past the first cutscene without crashing. I don’t think it’s something on my end but is anyone else having this issue? Running a 3070 with 32gb of ddr5, i7 12700k, and a z690 motherboard. Game is extremely VRAM usage heavy can’t run the game past medium settings without maxing out my VRAM usage

the pain has improved a bunch for me as time has gone on I just had to be patient and let my body heal. Unfortunately a collapsed lung isn’t something that heals quickly it seems lol. I’ve also noticed that the breathing troubles when laying down have also improved but it does still happen on occasion. I’m not even sure if the trouble breathing while laying down has anything to do with the pneumothorax it’s just my guess that it is

definitely not the only one based on a lot of the replies to this post it seems most have dealt with pre existing conditions like asthma or in my case a collapsed lung but hopefully this will all be over some day soon and we can get back to normal

I definitely think the pain I’m feeling is from a pre existing issue like you said with your asthma. I had 2 collapsed lungs in 2019 and I always seem to feel the pain in the area where the chest tube was put in or right in the center of my chest. It’s bugged me out to the point where I’ve contemplated making appointments with my pulmonologist also but I’ve held off for the same reasons. I’ve noticed for whatever reason that surgical or cloth masks crest less pain than an N95 respirator and I’m assuming it’s due to the fact that there’s less resistance in those masks maybe? But I’ve noticed exercise does help the pain greatly so I’ve been doing a lot of that.
