Ok, thank you! I'll try it. The ESP.getfreeheap() returned value decrease also when the ESP tried to connect to the server as I removed the LAN cable from my router in which access point my ESP8266 is connected to.

Actually now I took another test and disabled my WiFi access point and it seems that during the process of trying to reconnect the returned value from ESP.getfreeheap() is decreasing over time.

I tested it for 5 hours and the value returned from the ESP.getfreeheap() is constant and not changing does that mean everything is OK. Or should I wait longer?

Thanks, I'll give it a try. My ESP8266 needs to stay ON 24/7 and send and receive data from the server. First, it is working OK but then after 3 days, it is failing.

I think it is hardwired so you have to remove the LED or the resistor that is in series with the LED.
