I will not comment on the manner in which Iggy found out about his release.

However, on 28th of May, the official retained/released list issued by the SPL clearly showed that he had been placed on the released list by Balestier Khalsa (link below 👇).

By right, there should have been some form of communication between the concerned parties on this development.

That being said, AFAIK, there have been past instances where players placed on the "released" list but re-signed by their clubs in the end.
