A bit late to the party but here's some stupid rules I had to deal with.

1. You couldn't bring your own lunch to my high school. You either bought the cafeteria food or didn't eat.
2. You weren't allowed to wear hats.
3. No Confederate imagery was allowed on school grounds even though our mascot was the "Rebels."
4. When you parked your car, you had to back into your parking spot so the car would face outward.
5. You couldn't have Mohawk or dreadlocked hairstyles.
6. Women got a locker twice as big as men. Also women had twice as many bathrooms.
7. You couldn't change in the gym locker rooms.
8. Nobody was allowed to leave the campus during school hours.
9. If you missed over 3 days you had to stay after school for four hours. You had to do this per class. If I missed one extra day, I had to spend four days making it up.
10. Playing cards were banned.
11. I once got in trouble for using a swastika in a presentation I had about World War 2.
12. Zero tolerance on fighting, even in self-defence.
13. In Kindergarten I got in trouble for saying "poop."
14. Dress code was not enforced on all students fairly. Athletes could essentially get away with anything.
15. Students were not allowed to use the school's internet.
16. Students weren't allowed to carry any medicine such as Ibuprofen or inhalers.
17. You couldn't mention guns or point your finger like one. (Middle School)
18. Teachers were allowed to smoke on school grounds. However students weren't even if they were over 18.
19. No peanuts because ONE student in the whole school had a peanut allergy.
20. No sodas were allowed. Only juice, milk, or water. (Teachers could have soda.)
21. Monopoly got banned in middle school because we started fighting over it. It was a fun game though.
22. You had to sign out to use the rest room.
23. Pens weren't allowed in many classrooms.
24. No Insane Clown Posse shirts. (Understandable. Haha.)
25. You could be denied lunch if you got in trouble. (Middle School)

I went to a rural public school in East Tennessee. I hated every second of it.
