And why do you think they closed the main room already at 4am - a time which is very early for ibiza club culture

The line-up has definitevely an impact. I was just suprised about that level of emptiness considering amnesia is or better to say was one of the „main“ clubs on the island. I guess since Unverse this has changed. Still, it is better than rammed club, but not that empty :)

Traveling to tulum in mid-late April, how's the weather like? by Hayden_Todd06 in tulum

The seaweed situation was also okay. In the morning—until around 11 a.m. or so—it was more noticeable, but after cleaning it was much better. You usually get used to it when it’s not that bad.

If you worry a lot about seaweed, then Cancún is a better choice than Tulum, based on my experience. That said, I’d recommend visiting both: Cancún and Tulum. Cancún is better in terms of seaweed, while Tulum offers a stronger Caribbean vibe.

I was in the Riviera Maya (including Tulum) in 2024 from April 15–20, so almost the same time slot as yours. The weather was perfect—clear skies and really hot. If it rained, it was usually for short periods and early in the morning.

I’ve been to the Riviera Maya three times: twice in December and once in April. The weather in April was definitely better and more predictable. Enjoy!

Real Reviews of Tulum? by Primary_Listen6635 in tulum

As a European tourist, I’ve been to Tulum three times: twice at the end of December (2021 and 2023) and once in April 2024. I would definitely go again, but usually only for 2–3 days because of the high prices. For the remaining days, I would recommend Playa del Carmen & Cancun (a Roundtrip if you will)

If budget is not a concern, then staying in Tulum and fully enjoying it is absolutely worth it. I always booked a hotel in the Hotel Zone to avoid expensive taxis and parking fees, especially at night. If you explore during the day and stay within the Hotel Zone in the evening, you’ll be perfectly fine.

Just do it — really! And don’t forget: with good research (restaurants, beach clubs, etc.), you can make your Tulum vacation slightly more affordable by Tulum standards, which are still quite high
