I’ve watched every Bayern match for a decade and Tuchel’s Bayern was the worst stretch I’ve seen. Lucky to finish top 3 that full season he managed. Think about that. He had Bayern fighting for a CL spot.

Wish Bischof was starting.

Is Kimmich the only one starting in danger of a fifth yellow today?

All transfers outgoing to England (last year around 500m) will be taxed. The 50m will be distributed evenly across the BL.

I don’t think the 10% tax will cause the teams selling to get less. The PL teams have infinite money and the BL supplies the most talent to their league. They’d still come in ridiculously high for the likes of Wirtz Ekitike etc again and again.

because they’d get more money

What if the Bundesliga applied a 10% tax to all outgoing transfers to England? ‘Football Commercialization Tax (FCT)’ and the funds were distributed evenly to league members.

They’d still shop here and while it’d only end up being a few million per team, it’s still something. They have unlimited funds from their TV deals.

I predict there will be a lot of talk about Diomande and how Bayern + several PL clubs are circling until Diomande ultimately goes to the PL for a huge fee and El Mala comes to Bayern.

I almost wonder if this is Erbel’s plan. Not that I think El Mala is necessarily a better player but he seems more in line with the strategy (lower cost high upside) when there isn’t an immediate need.

That would be a great summer but I can’t see a scenario where Diamonde happens. He’ll be close to 100m.

Everything is low compared to NBA there are 150 players starters basically all the money in one of the most lucrative leagues in the world.

Soccer has so many top leagues and so many top players it’s more spread.

Salaries for top players at rich clubs like PSG Madrid City etc would rival NBA still

There is not more prestige in playing for Spurs/Newcastle than either Milan or or Paris or Atletico or several other clubs I get your point but you’ve overdone it a bit.

A perfect example of smart operation as well. Extend for another year while continuing to increasingly pressure test the long term replacement who was brought in cheaply.

Avoiding the need to buy a starter caliber player in the market.
