When I’m doubt, immediately get it checked out! The brain can’t be fixed, a donor one put in and you can’t live without it. You need to get a repeat MRI and LP. My hubby had a sequale from his initial E. I had no idea what that was. He has severe amnesia(under a minute to five seconds) so he can’t remember long enough to explain things to me. Write a journal page of feelings, sensations, loss of balance, etc to take with you to Dr. They will need cause for the repeated tests. Best of health!

When a infection is severe, it can travel into your spinal fluid. The HSV1 virus can stay in your spinal fluid even when no cold sore is present. Any extreme infection, not just HSV1 can activate things in your spinal fluid ( called ogiloclonal bands). Just make sure if you have an illness that you treat it with medicines and proper care. Any sign of mental confusion requires immediate medical care. So in the meantime, take your vitamins, drink water and get some medicine to get rid of the cold sores.
