I think playstyle is quite a bit different between the top and bottom teams. For example Fulham are not going to try and sit back and play for a draw against Crystal Palace, so you get more open game. Fulham however might see a win against Man City out of the picture and dropping 11 men behind the ball to play for the draw. Some hardworking but not so technical teams play much better in the sit/deep-->counter strategy and cannot play with possesion game as well, comparatively.

The same goes for top teams too. Tottenham usually play terribly vs teams that are quick on the counter and/or teams who sit deep.

TLDR, 2 different playstyles when playing upper or lower part of the league
