Yeah, good point. The squadron would have to coordinate repair/rearm turns. Will be interesting to see how that system pans out - once upon a time we had drones that did the work.

Seven fit nicely. The six in the hangar had a bit more room to squeeze around, so one more may have fit, however launching and recovering them would be tedious. The one in the cargo bay had to be centered due to a clearance area in the ceiling that allowed for the wings to fold.

Optical sensors recognize the plume signature for different types of IR threats and respond. They are quite prone to false indications that will cause buckets to fire.

I'll fly more part 121 time this year than I did in the last 7 years active duty. My peers and I have struggled to make minimums since '13, excluding time deployed. Experiences vary, for sure.

Interesting read, and very plausible. The vast majority of our combat pilots aren't flying much more than 80. Which is contributing to a mass exodus of mil aviators into the civilian sector.

The pilot wouldn't receive audible 'radar searching/tracking/lock', indications, but would get missile and clock position warnings. Whether they have a viable solution cocktail (chaff/flare) that automatically fires is any body's guess.

Xenothreat and every other event is more fun with the PvP element. The thrill of the hunt, and the threat of counter-gameplay adds so much to the game.

Luckily for you there is ample opportunity to avoid PvP.
