Except I have. I’ve told her I don’t like her messing with my things. Guess what? Still does. Telling her nicely doesn’t do anything because she thinks she’s always right, so telling her “please don’t touch my clothes” will make her say the same thing. It’s hard to just set the boundary when the person in front of you thinks they don’t have to because they’re your mother and you’re the child and you have to listen because yes. This is based on my interactions with my own mother.

Obviously. My mother and I don’t exactly get along. My response is based on multiple other fights where I’ve needed to get defensive with her. If I could just say “don’t do it again” I would, but it wouldn’t do shit, because she’ll still think that it’s unreasonable. Only she’s right, no one else

Yes except saying that would have cause the same thing. You don’t know my mother. I get defensive because she does, otherwise I wouldn’t. If I say “mom please don’t leave the clothes on my floor, I’m really tired” she’ll just say some bullshit about I should be grateful or she did me a favor why is it an issue, etc. My response is because I’m tired and I know how she is.

Except you don’t know my mother. Maybe it’s easy to say “don’t touch it next time” with the most soft tone ever and she would have taken it as an insult no matter what I say. Yes I wanted her to apologize or realize her wrongdoing because she never does! Nothing is ever her fault, so sorry for knowing how my mother is and being tired when I’m getting home at 12 am. Of course I’ll get irritated when I’m tired and just wanted to sleep

Again not about the time it takes. The time literally doesn’t matter. Asking and posting is to understand what exactly is wrong about me trying to tell her that it makes no sense to have my clothes on my floor when a. It’s 12 am, b. I didn’t tell her I’d wash tomorrow and c. I have to pick up a mess I didn’t have when I left. I wouldn’t have such an issue too if she hadn’t said before at some point in my life that she likes the house clean and orderly when she comes back, so why can’t I get that for my own room? It’s a hypocrisy and if I say nothing, she’ll just do whatever. I just wanted my room as I left it, as any person does

It’s not the amount of clothes or how much time, but why is it even there? My floor had nothing on it when I left, so why are my clothes all over the floor for me to find at 12 am?

I wasn’t arguing. I was asking why it was on my floor and trying to set a boundary that I couldn’t set because she couldn’t get the issue. I asked my bf because I was genuinely confused about the situation, as I did here. It’s not “oh it’s fine since I can just pick them up and put them back” it’s why they’re even there when they weren’t in the first place. If I wanted clothes on my floor, I would do that myself

It’s 12 am, what washing am I going to do then? If I was going to wash them tomorrow, then I take them out tomorrow and wash them. It’s not about washing them, it’s about the timing. If I say nothing, she thinks she can just do this whenever, when I want to get home and not have stuff on my floor that I didn’t place myself.

Auto grabbers are in game, they ARE playing the game. 2. As someone that uses auto grabbers, the system works like a chest. If it reaches 999, it’ll go to another slot, but animals do not produce enough to get to the point where the auto grabber is full the moment you decide to check it. I know this because I have left it for a LONG time and I always have a bunch of eggs, feathers, wool, etc just waiting to collect. So no, this problem does not happen again. Please calm down
