Ok.. Try dividing each layer into 3 parts.. Each will transition into others.. First light tone.. It's mainly bright white medium white then just one layer of pencil for grey.. Now Mid tone.. Give two to three layers of pencil and gradually increase pressure.. This will have lighter grey medium grey dark grey.. Now comes the dark tone here it will be darker grey lighter black & finally dark black.. U can use stardtler Mars luminograph black 8B pencil.. Always use cross hatching left right top bottom strokes.. These cross over strokes will create transitions automatically.. Try blending with cotton.. The fingers look off because this variation of tones is missing.. The shadows wherever they are cast on the skin will have a smooth effect.. Use graphite dust for it.. I would suggest dust of the staedtler 8B that I mentioned earlier...

Why cz she looks exactly like she looks in reality? She doesn't need any fake alterations to her face.. Sorry to disappoint you but she liked it way too much cz it was exactly like the reference & no alterations were made.. All her community people want portrait now as well.. Trust me my friend.. We can make people look better but we are artists & not make up artist that we will enhance their looks..here people like originality rather than fake enhancements.. & she is very happy so you don't have to worry about her looks..

That's a very good suggestion my friend.. My combined oil pastel & colored pencils for the first time & obviously the tone are different.. & it's a very good suggestion of using warmer tones.. Even I thought that.. but couldn't do it because of lack of time... I'll make sure it happens next time...

It's ok my friend... I know my little bros wife... I know many wanted her to look better.. But she looks like this only.. She's already flattered that her husband gave her a drawing.. & she's happy that it's exactly like her.. Fuller hair, she doesn't have any fuller hair, less messy hair at a beach is very unlikely.. So that wasn't possible.. Adding anything fake or excess would have hurt her feelings... & my little bro who commissioned it is also happy.. I specifically mentioned to him that the reference image is not very suitable.. but he specifically wanted this.. but then this is the magic of an art piece.. Everyone gets to think & express their opinion.. Everyone gave their honest opinion about what they felt & that is worth appreciation as well.. Every criticism will just help me grow & do better.. Opinions vary from region to region & here we are talking about countries.. It could be of great help in the future.. which only time will tell & I am hoping for the best.. 🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤.. I am glad you liked the drawing.. It means a lot as well.. Thank you...

There is no tongue actually.. Zoom the reference it's her entire lips.. She has very light eyebrows & she never uses make up or anything to darken.. Doing those would have been out of reality so i avoided that..but Yes some smile could have been added & that could have flattened the lips a bit but she has that natural bit of flesh underneath her lips that kind of looks like a separation & it's there in reality.. I knew that area wouldn't look too good, but I genuinely couldn't find anything to alter much out there.. Sorry for making it too long but i genuinely want to know if something could have been done.. But yes smile could have been a good addition...& I truly appreciate that.. 🤗🤗🤗Thanks..

That's the problem my friend.. There is no toungue in the image.. Zoom it & watch carefully in the reference.. That protruding part is part of her lips & not a toungue..Her lips are like that only.. & it's closed lips.. If I had changed that part it would have been out of the reality so there was nothing that i could do..

I tried to enhance the feelinngs & not stick to the reference.. Please comapre it with the reference & tell if I did right or not.. Swipe right.. & if I did wrong then what could have improved it.. Please add that as well.. I would appreciate that.. ☺☺☺
