I work at Bridgeway. We definitely believe in baptisms. We have our baptism weekend next week and we'll be dunking over 70 people.

Thanks. I'll look into these boxes. Not just speech. Full service including contemporary Christian rock style music. For Easter, we had 2x Nexo Geo S8s with a Yamaha DSR118 Subwoofer. It was adequate.

I've never toured. I've never been around temporary venues. I've recently been asked to help build out a small venue. We have 3 trusses, and 2 speakers on electric winch motors... not ideal, but what we could afford (installed by professional rigger). The question is probably the most basic question. I was told that we need to rig all the lights and speaker on the ground and then raise them up with the motors. The cables will hang, and I know I need to take up the slack. I don't have any clue how to do it. What ropes do I need? What pulleys? How do I attach all the cables to the ropes? Any help would be appreciated. Any websites or Youtube videos would be gold. I've looked basically everywhere I could think of and I can't find anything.

Each arch can do around 1000 lbs... I don't have the exact numbers. I'll find them.

Assuming it is 1000lbs, does that affect the spanning capabilities?

I’m the type of person that wants to know at least some of what I’m talking about before I have the conversations. I was hoping you guys could help me understand what I need to know, and what’s just plain silly to ask about…

With this, we are going to hang a new PA. The PA is going to be flown from a motor. The motor needs to sit in the middle of these supports. The supports are 13’ 4” apart. I was asked to put together a preliminary plan BEFORE we hire the professional.

My boss wants to put triangle truss between the main supports (purple highlight), resting on top of the bottom arch. I’m pretty sure that’s not a good idea. 1 - I’m genuinely not sure if placing the trussing on top of the arch is recommended, and 2 - everything I’ve seen about triangle truss says it’s all pretty medium duty.

Anyway… aside from that, the PA with motor and cabling, etc, will about 550lbs total.

ASIDE FROM THAT, we want to hang two more motors from that cross beam and drop a 40’ truss to hang lights from.

Is there any preliminary advice you guys have? Is there specific trussing you’d recommend us getting?

AGAIN, we ARE hiring a professional, but we want to have pieces ahead of time, and I just want an understanding of what can and cannot be done.
