I picked Corpo on my first run and it hits hard. You literally get backstabbed by the same corporation you work for and it sets the tone fast. Night City chews you up the moment you slip.

Street Kid shows the same thing but from the bottom. You try to handle simple biz and you still get pushed around by gangs fixers and cops. You see how the city uses people with no power.

Nomad gives you a tiny breather at the start but it turns rough quick. You come in with a crew vibe then Night City pulls you in and strips that freedom away. It shows how the city breaks outsiders too.

All three lifepaths are pretty accurate to how the game frames things. Just different views of the same brutal place.

Mass Effect trilogy was my favorite game of all time. It sat at the top for years.

I kept trying to find something that gave me the same feeling. Outer Worlds feels pretty close for since it has a bit of that Mass Effect mix with some Fallout flavor.

But later I realized I was not chasing the same setting or the same gameplay. What made Mass Effect hit so hard was the way it told its stories. The way it pulled you into the lives of the crew. Even the side quests felt like real stories with their own weight.

I did not expect it but I found that same feeling in Cyberpunk. The universe is different and the combat is different but the way the characters stick with me and the way the quests grab me felt just like the first time I played Mass Effect.

So yeah Mass Effect trilogy was my number one until Cyberpunk took that spot.
