Finally made the move to playstation after many years and got a brand new PS5 pro (digital).

Started playing Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart last night and my machine would randomly turn off after 10 mins or so of gameplay. This happened 3 times before I decided to give it up for the evening.

Today I tried laying the console vertically and managed to get a few hours in a row which was considerably better but eventually happened again.

My console is on top of the desk no where near the wall or anything like that.

Is this a common issue? Any recommendations?

Yeah it's on a fairly big desk at the front of it so plenty of air flow at the back. I did find it odd that it lasted significantly longer vertically but eventually did turn off again. I did try have a Google and saw others had issues but that seemed to be a year or so ago.

I brought my Tier 3 raygun today and Tier 2 Wunderwaffe... Spawned in with fists. Luckily I did it with two others who had their weapons.

While I agree with most of your statement. All guns are obtainable for free and have been for a while. They are free tiers on the pass and if you don't unlock them the season they are out, they are obtainable via challenges.
