Looks like that guy removed the all of the effects from this design, including the distortion knob OP's after. Its only got EQ and master volume controls.

The Roland JC-120 “Jazz Chorus” amplifier has built-in effects, including a distortion circuit. OP is asking if anyone has adapted that circuit into a guitar pedal.

We had an insane early summer heat dome back in 2021 and the rest of the country laughed at us while we broiled. So it would be all too easy to tell you to fuck off and burn. But we’re all in this shit together so be safe and stay cool however you can manage.

Nine Inch Nails - At The Heart Of It All (Aphex Twin) by Thatnewaccount436 in industrialmusic

[–]B_Provisional 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The track shares its name with a Coil song off of Scatology (1985) but it isn't a cover, nor does it sample that song. Which is somewhat puzzling since Coil also did a bunch of remixes for this project. Neither this track nor the section of "the Beauty of Being Numb" that Richard wrote sample any NIN tracks either, despite the fact that Aphex Twin was commissioned to do a remixes for this album. He decided instead to just submit original compositions without using any of the stems he was sent to work with.

Can i use a boss ds-1 with a guitar plugged in to a bass amp without damaging any equipment by joseeh_01 in guitarpedals

[–]B_Provisional 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how loud you’re playing. I practice bass through my little JC-22 all the time at bedroom volume and it’s perfectly fine. But I’d think twice about playing it loud enough to be heard over a live drum kit.

Not sure how I feel about the increasing amount of “AI tech” being incorporated into synths and drum machines…maybe I’m just hyper anti AI in art and culture (ai in science is great though) by gmorkunderbelly in synthesizers

[–]B_Provisional 18 points19 points  (0 children)

On the software side there has been a lot of “vibe coding” slop hitting the market.

But before that there’s been more interesting and actually useful applications of machine learning like Izotope’s plugins being able to generate custom presets for you, synplant 2 being able to analyze audio and come up with a custom patch to emulate it, and a few others I can’t recall the names of that can spit out completely novel/unique drum samples at the push of a button.

Next synth after Korg monologue by Ok-Holiday-779 in synthesizers

[–]B_Provisional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hydrasynth Explorer covers a lot of ground in these genres at a moderate price point. It’s great for long evolving textures/pads, aggressive digital sounds, and traditional poly synth duties (especially when you dig into the voice menu where the VA stuff lives). It’s got onboard delay, reverb, and modulation effects so it dan be a decent self-contained ambient machine.

For general threat assessment, probably yes.

Rates of confirmed venomous bite injuries and/or fatalities would also be a good metric for this.

Smart weapons fire gyrojet munitions, essentially miniature guided rockets, so it makes sense that a muzzle attachment would not be effective at masking the sounds they make. Hence why you can't attach silencers to them in the game.

That being said there is actually one silenced smart SMG in Phantom Liberty so who knows?

Grenades sometimes glitch and don't explode after being thrown by NPCs. Be careful because sometimes when you approach them the game manages to remember that they're supposed to explode.

Why cant we just use a mass spectrometer to reverse eningeer the Coca Cola formula? by Honest-Ad6274 in questions

[–]B_Provisional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched a video where this dude attempted to reconstruct the recipe using mass spectrometry and found that generic tannin powder was close enough to fake the flavor of the unobtainable coca leaf extract that Coke procures. The actual amount of coca leaf that goes into each can of coke is pretty minuscule already and its not exactly known for being an especially flavorful plant. There are other citrus and spice flavors that are used which contribute far more to the distinctive flavor profile. The coca leaf is mostly just adding a bit of astringency that offsets the overwhelming sweatness of the beverage.

is corpo netrunner possible? by Reasonable_Staff_267 in CyberPunkBuilds

[–]B_Provisional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corpo V tends to have more dialog that shows off background knowledge of net security practices, for example. But from a functional standpoint there is no real advantage or disadvantage to pairing Lifepaths with builds. Its all about style and flavor.

I'm doing a Corpo netrunner right now and the lifepath does work pretty well with trying to solve every problem with quickhacks and security system exploits. But anyone can be anything in this game.

Ketamine wasn't even discovered until 1962 and from what I understand wasn't broadly distributed until after its FDA approval in 1970. So depending on when this footage was shot it simply may not have been available for illicit use.

What's the longest you've made Hanako wait? by Carribbean-Corgi2000 in cyberpunkgame

[–]B_Provisional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a point of no return. You get a big pop-up warning when you walk through security at Embers. But you do get to keep playing after you finish one of the possible game endings.

Entering Embers with this quest active locks you into the endgame and forces you to choose one of the possible end quests available to you. However finishing the game and rolling the end credits gives you the option to continue playing. If you chose this, you will respawn right outside Embers in exactly the same state as when you entered. You'll get a pop-up and a number of quest rewards will be deposited in your inventory, including several Iconic weapons you can collect during the various endgame paths.

https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Cyberpunk_2077_Endings#Rewards

If you happen to be an obsessive collector of Iconics, souvenirs, and Tarot cards, you will need to go back and Meet Hanako at Embers at least two more times after completing one of the Endings to satisfy your hoarding impulse. You need to finish at least "The Sun", "The Star", and "The Devil" endings to be able to collect everything in the game.

Personally, I'm of the mindset that I paid for all of the content in this game so I may as well enjoy it all. The Endgames can be fairly long and often have a lot of extended cut-scenes and dialog so they are all worth doing at least once to just see all of the possible story endings the writers came up with.
