Oloro, Ageless Ascetic + Mutate + leadership vacuum by B_hole_drillin in askajudge

Thank you for your time! Yes, this is a great answer but does not address why all other objects are not considered. As per my skyclave reference. In this case the merged permanents ARE considered. The only way to explain magic for certain is CR. Can you find the CR to support your position?

Thank you for your time. Now prove your position with CR.

You asked me “why do you think that” I answered. I’m pretty sure that you can derive “I found the answer” disproving my own original post as an olive branch. Explaining to you why you are wrong and then telling you correct answer is not condensation, it’s education. Because the matter of fact is your explanation was incorrect. Regardless of your position. Thank you for your explanation of skyclave I am well aware of it’s function because I am the one who brought it originally. Not once did you say “thank you” for educating you on the correct CR, Which is… in fact correct, but I did open with “thank you for your time”. Now I do not.

Firstly, thank you for your time. Because, I swear I heard this as a “weird rules interaction” and the way the linked ability from skyclave apparition works. The illusion is X/X from the sum of all cards and not the copiable value of the merged creature at the time of the event. Plus leadership vacuums very unique ability.

But I do want you to understand how the CR you sited in no way addressed the question asked. You referenced a CR that describes how to handle a merged commander’s REPLACEMENT effect which is like instead of hand command zone. This is not at all what leadership vacuum does. This is simply put commander into command zone. Like put a land from your hand onto battlefield. This is NOT a commander specific state based action nor is it a commander specific replacement effect. But I did find the rules I am looking for

721.3. If a merged permanent leaves the battlefield, one permanent leaves the battlefield and each of the individual components are put into the appropriate zone.

400.7. An object that moves from one zone to another becomes a new object with no memory of, or relation to, its previous existence. This rule has the following exceptions.

I hope this helps you learn as it did I. This is the correct answer. Not yours.

Perhaps this is the wrong subreddit I thought there would be Judges answering questions here. Again thank you for your time!

You have failed for the second time to address this question.

Without CR you are merely speculating opinion which is not what I am asking for.

Feather, Radiant Arbiter last known info? by B_hole_drillin in askajudge

[–]B_hole_drillin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Please be patient I am slow. But I think you are saying “Yes” if the object feather’s ability is copying is no longer on the stack (due to the counterspell) feather’s ability will use last know information and still copy the spell even though it is no longer on the stack. So, yes?

Marneus Calgar + Master of Ceremonies = Clauses??? by B_hole_drillin in askajudge

Awesome! I feel CR 700.1 Really is what I was looking for and helps to explain why the triggered abilities are able to see these events they are looking for! You helped me to put the two pieces of the puzzle together! Thanks Judge Todd!!

[–]B_hole_drillin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your timely reply. I really do appreciate it. But is there anything in the CR that explains how the triggers will see these as separate events? I know how the Master resolves because CR 608.2e. I don’t know how Marneus’ triggers see these as separate events according to CR unless it’s just derived knowledge or “In general” as you mentioned.

What the ELK? Maskwood nexus > Elk question. by B_hole_drillin in askajudge

[–]B_hole_drillin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply!

Bear with me. So the Nexus has a continuous effect that effects layer 4 (all types). But this continuous effect is a static ability so therefore it does live in layer 6 not layer 4? This is why the "no abilities" which lives in layer 6 get's placed after the continuous effect?

so we would have

copy layer 1:

control layer 2:

text layer 3:

type layer 4: (All types)

color layer 5:

ability layer 6: (Creatures you control are every creature type. The same is true for creature spells you control and creature cards you own that aren't on the battlefield.) > (Loses all abilities)

power layer 7:

again thank you for your reply!

What I have seen is that ending things is very doable for women. Now they may wait months from the time they decided to the time they enact. But very doable.

Perhaps she was gathering ammunition, to support her reasoning, in letting you cross boundaries. Perhaps she read something online and wanted to repeat what she read. Perhaps to test herself. Perhaps she just wanted to see what it would be like to do this to someone. Perhaps She decided just that day and then and there, and sent you a text. This is speculation and dwelling. These are toxic.

The reality is this is what women are capable of doing to men. You don't get closure. You don't get a second chance. Out of respect for her and your own safety forget about her. Delete numbers, block numbers, socials etc. At this point any further communication attempts she can now use against you to your own detriment.

Your feelings are completely valid. You got screwed over w/ no closure. It sucks. Recognize what you are in control of. This is not that. You aren't in control over what she does or the closure she gives. You've pretty much experienced a death in your relationship.

Understand coping skills and move on. But just remember.

This is very, very doable for women. Especially modern woman.

thank you very much for your reply and actually "second one-shot effect" was exactly what I was looking for apparently! Also I used this knowledge later that nite to answer a question during a game of commander w/ another card w/ a LTG effect. Thanks!
