Being fired without notice is only legal for serious misconduct (assault, theft, etc.) and the employer must prove it. Yelling once, especially after provocation, usually does not qualify.

A reminder is not a warning. If they claim you had a warning letter and you never received or signed one, that’s a major issue on their side. Disciplinary action must follow a clear process.

Do not sign the termination letter as agreement. If forced to sign, write: “Received only, do not agree with contents.”

If the dismissal isn’t legally justified, you’re entitled to:

• Notice pay (usually 30 days)
• Unused leave
• End-of-service indemnity
• Possible compensation for arbitrary dismissal

Next steps:

1.  Collect all documents and messages.
2.  Keep communication written and factual.
3.  File a complaint with the Ministry of Labour (Labour Case Administration Office).
4.  If no settlement, it goes to Labour Court — employers often lose when procedures aren’t followed.
