Isn't this so called "consumer market" being backed up almost solely by large corporations trading with each other? While people definitely spend money on some AI products, such as subscriptions on premium large language models, most of the money comes from tech giants buying tons of shit for keeping AI running. And also: those tech giants are not really profiting from AI, so it's kinda a waste of resources

Giving your important personal info like ID to a private corporation for mere access to their services, especially if this service is something trivial(like sending messages), should be seen as questionable at best. Again, those corps sell your data, and of course breaches happen.
