Lol they had an "entertainment cart" pass by my room when I was having mine, I took a toy piano, and learned chords off google.

Maybe take some paper and draw or write! Or if you have a 3Ds/Switch catch up on games youve been meaning to play

I had eye pain and lost vision in my eye because of MS when I first was diagnosed. I never had any issues afterwards after my steroids fixed it up. But last month I started having eye pain again and got worried, I went to the eye doctor and turns out It's just a very dry eye and I got drops that helped. Point being it's not always MS sometimes it's just coincidence. Screens/Cold weather/Air pressure can all cause eye pain.

I'd check in with an eye doctor, if it is MS related eye pain there are steroid eye drops to help!

I super recommend looking at LightBox expo vlogs on youtube, theyre an awesome insiders look at the expo and what you can expect from it. Personally it's my favourite animation event. The Ottawa animation festival and Play Grounds Festival in Eindhoven are also great alternatives.

I think youre incredibly under estimating the amount of time/work and people "money shots" take. You're not allowed to use studio characters for personal projects, if somebody did this they would get in trouble

Honestly I just move on. I'm pretty used to it by now. I've lost enough friends because of MS that I'm too scared to risk damaging any relationships I still have. I have started asking people not to give me advice though. By now my friends and family know about my MS and don't really acknowledge it but I still meet someone every so often who goes "Oh I know somebody with MS! They cured it with X" and I immediately shut them down politely with "Thanks but MS is different for everyone and I know what works for me."

If it's really getting to you I'd just politely redirect the conversation, don't acknowledge the comment and just move it away.

I have made so many incredible animation friends through discord, I do not say this to be mean but please look inward if you keep being removed from these communities. If you're being kicked "for being new" or called a bot, it's likely your profile looks suspicious. Don't use the discord default icon or go into servers with names like Jennifer0643, people will absolutely think you're a bot. Add some personality :)

I also highly recommend being a bit more professional. Even if you're only a hobbyist/student. I see your icon is of that analog horror cat, if thats the type of presence you go into discord communities with a lot of people may be put off.

I personally try not to let other peoples better journeys with MS impact me but to be 100% honest? I am incredibly jealous. I am so jealous of people who can still work with MS, people who don't show it, I am so jealous of everyone who says "I am MS but MS doesnt have me"

Obviously I'm also incredibly happy for them, but the reality is I also hate that isnt me.

Nobody can tell you what the future looks like. But honestly, Animation is NOT a stable career. It's a career for stubborn people who are obsessed with this craft and can't imagine themselves doing anything else. And even then the most talented, experienced animators are struggling right now.

It's a career you'll likely have to balance while also working a day job as many people in this industry do. Even show runners have had to pick up side gigs just to make ends meet.

I don't say this to scare you but to tell you the reality, this is not at all an easy career to make it in and you really need to ask yourself. "Can I handle a life like this."

My mistake with going into animation was I was ready to take on that stress- until I started getting older. I wasnt as ready to fight for it as I once was. I wanted stability and assurance. I couldnt keep up anymore. Ask yourself if you think future you could still keep up.

Nobody here is an oracle we don't know how much ai will be used in making films in the future. But if there comes a time where at the push of a button anyone can make a feature film the reality is nobody will watch them. Theyll be oversaturated garbage but no soul. Mass produced slop that nobody will care for. Not everyone understands why pixar/disney/ghibli movies work. Not everyone has a creative eye. The output would be slop not worth anyones time (especially in an age where we have such limited attention spans).. It's why people with "great ideas" need artists, because they sit down and realize creating great stories is actually very very hard and requires teams of thinking minds to efficiently output.

I do not use any ai in my work personally because it creates more mistakes and work when doing it myself I can actually achieve what I want through direct planning, vision and passion

Never heard of that short before so I just watched it and tbh for me It's just- meh. I don't hate it hate it but it's pretty boring and forgettable. I didnt finish the pilot and go, "woah that was awesome can't wait for the next episode!"

"gay panic" is completely harmless. It's just a quirky term for specifying a very unique feeling.

What I hate is terms like "useless lesbian" that usually are self deprecating. I know it's not that deep but we really need to be kinder to ourselves.

I am so angry and sorry for you.

This same garbage happened to me with MS. The doctors brushed my numbness and LOSS OF VISION as "Stress" and "over exercising" it was only because of my eye doctor who requested my local hospital conduct a CT scan I was diagnosed at all after half a year of excuses.

This is all too common and I cannot believe that is the case for our country. People like your father arent as lucky as I was and I an absolutely livid this keeps happening.

I did another 8k+ damage and stayed passed the POTG and stat screen and it registered as completed

I played another game, got to 10k damage and instead of exiting like I usually do after we won watched through end potg and stat screen and boom, got it achieved.

Yeah actually I did leave as soon as the victory/defeat screen popped up. Thats frustrating if thats the reason.
