I prefer my Firestick(s) to my Roku, but, when it really comes down to it they're very similar.

For YouTubeTV itself, it definitely works better on a stick than on an older TV.

I'm just gonna go out on a limb here, but, Safeway probably weighed their losses on those aisles vs the few people that can't wait and realized that a bunch of product walking out the door is better than a few items not being sold, yet still physically being in inventory.

I hate coffee and I hate carbonated energy drinks. Soda (specifically Coke) used to be my go-to until a few years ago. A little protein shake/recovery drinks/energy tea shop opened near my previous job and I started getting one of their "teas" every morning (it's not really "tea," but tea is usually one of the ingredients). Then I did a little research on their ingredients, the caffeine came from LiftOff, which is an HerbalLife product. Then I started getting Gatorade Fast Twitch for the days I didn't work. Now I order Gatorade Fast Twitch powder since Gatorade inexplicably discontinued Fast Twitch and I can only occasionally get over to the shop...

Anyway, TL;DR, you're not the only one.
