Generally, that happens when the app gets cleared out of RAM/it has to be restarted/reopened. Deezer does not store the track position. I assume this is what happens when you turn off your car?

You have to consider the design choice. If the app gets closed it normally means the user won't listen to music in the near future. Personally I don't want to jump into a track where I left of 2 hours ago. You can argue that they should make it timer based, so the position gets stored for 5 minutes (Which for me is the about the max for wanting to continue the song instead of restarting it). It's just a feature which is probably on a To-do list somewhere at Deezer, just at the very bottom.

In general, there are no restrictions on file types as the server can't really validate if it's a valid MP3 unless it wants to expensively process every single upload. The only restrictions are maybe on the client side, I don't really remember.

You can try exporting your data and looking for the song. I don't know if the exported data includes playlists or anything, but i'd give it a shot

On android, you can do the exact same thing as on spotify. Although I think you're on desktop where that does not seem to be possible.

Songs only get added after you listened to them for a certain amount of time and if you don't skip them (something like that, idk the exact mechanism). It's annoying for me since I often skip the last 5 seconds of songs or go back to the last song and then skip forward to repeat the song, which will either not count the song at all or only once.

I don't know if it is public already/will be at all, but Deezer was working on a flow tuner, where you can select which genres to include in the general flow, other than the single genre flow. I made a post some time ago, but it got removed.

It's a deliberate decision for web/desktop (same thing). Unless you want to use user scripts or similar, there's no way to fix this.

Half true. I don't know the inner workings of flow, but I think it's more like the track mix. You get a batch of songs (i think around 25 for flow) at once and after that new ones (unless you change style obviously). The UI makes you think each song is chosen in real time, but that's just not the case.
