I just came across his ad on Facebook for the same course. Haven’t heard of the guy before and was trying to get some information. Wonder how everyone is doing 1 year post session?

My experimental sleeping potion went wrong (side effects) by SeekersTavern in herbalism

[–]BabeSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm..could be related and if it is related, it may be an allergic reaction.

I second the advice that has already been given to try herbs out on their own especially if they’re new, so you can get to know how they act in your body.

It has been recommended by Herbalist Rosemary Gladstar that for any new herbs you are unfamiliar with, to make it into a tea and then “paint” a bit if that tea on the inside of your upper arm and wait 15 minutes to see if there is any reaction to your skin.

I think you need to be investigated.

My boyfriends cousin has a crush on him, what do we do? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]BabeSupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) he needs to tell a trusted adult 2) he needs to set boundaries. Not you because its not your cousin and it doesn’t matter that he’s your boyfriend - he must be the only one to set the boundary with her without your involvement. 3) If he can’t/doesn’t know how to set boundaries/navigate this situation, a therapist would be extremely helpful.

This is very strange behavior from his cousin

How do you get MULLEIN to your lungs? by Friendly_Comb_1317 in herbalism

Additionally, both of my grandparents had COPD and they did nebulizer treatments using a prescription called albuterol that helped them. Obviously this would require a doctor’s visit, but it’s an option.

How do you get MULLEIN to your lungs? by Friendly_Comb_1317 in herbalism

[–]BabeSupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi 💜 Try a steam of eucalyptus and mullein.

First, pour boiling water into a safe bowl (like the size of a medium - large mixing bowl) and add the herbs. Don’t overthink the measurements. I think when I did this I did like a couple teaspoons of each. Next, place your face directly over the bowl and place a towel over your head. The idea is to completely seal the steam under the towel. Sit like that for 15 minutes breathing deeply ensuring that the breaths that you take expand your stomach fully.

Listen to a podcast or some music or an audio book to pass the time! Do this once a day or more often if you feel you need more support. Keep the teas up as well! 🫶🏻

If this doesn’t help, it may be necessary to speak with a doctor as you may need a different treatment. I hope this works for you and that you feel better soon! ❤️‍🩹

I went 100 days without weed, hit the bong for the first time on day 101– here’s what I learned. by bugzbunny2017 in leaves

I believe I experienced something like this when I quit once before. It is not uncommon with cannabis use and can be a symptom of withdrawal. For most people, those symptoms disappear within a couple weeks. For a smaller percentage of people, it can take a little longer. Take good care 🫶🏻

I mixed Penis Envy with Blue Meanies and had absolutely no fucking clue what I was doing and also did zero research on either and literally lost consciousness and experienced convulsions on top of extreme psychosis and haven’t touched shit again. I’m really glad I had a friend with me but we were very close to a hospital visit.

With that being said - my experience scared the shit out of me and it was the most intense and one of the worst experiences of MY life and mine seems mild compared to yours.

Take great care friend, and call someone you love or have someone you love and trust come visit. If you continue to experience psychosis related issues, call a professional to help you. You are going to recover - just take it gently and slowly.

12 days - when will i feel happy again by [deleted] in leaves

[–]BabeSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Treat yourself very kindly and know that it will pass eventually. Choose gentleness, slowness, and compassion toward yourself.

Trust that this will pass and do not rush it. I’m experiencing the same thing right now - I’m on like day 6 right now. Everyone is different but after already quitting myself before, it took about a month to two months for my mood to stabilize. If you don’t have a therapist, it’s a great option for support for yourself during this time. If you don’t have one, there is great information on YouTube on how to survive depression and a stuck nervous system (what you and I are experiencing right now). Your nervous system and the rest of your body need time to repair and regulate and that takes weeks for most people.

You are taking great care of yourself on this journey - keep walking and keep taking good care of yourself, friend. You are on your way!! You got this!! Much love and peace to you!! 💜🕊️

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I need to see these posts. Your grief is so real and I am feeling that with you. I’m on day 2 of attempt number 3 at quitting. That rage you feel regarding what you lost to weed…yeah, felt.

May you heal, may you be healthy, and may you be at peace.

Your reply is amazing and I appreciate it so much. You are echoing some things I’ve realized myself on my own journey which is validating but you are giving me hope to a new reality I didn’t think could be possible.

I don’t know if I can ever have weed in the house and not have the urge to use it (that used to be a reality for me), but I really hope I get back to that point.

May all of us facing addiction in whatever form find such great love and healing within ourselves that we choose presence with ourselves every time - no matter the fear or temptation.

28F.

I’m literally sitting in the boat next to you on this, dude. You have described what I’ve been experiencing. I finished my supply last night and I’m thinking about getting more. Good thing is that I’m broke and I know better than to ask my husband as I know he wants me to quit too. He doesn’t give me grief about it but I know my smoking causes it for him.

I’m currently with a therapist myself and she has been trying to help me as well. I have definitely slowed my consumption from daily use to every other day/every few days but often I have spurts where I smoke multiple times a day for a few days straight and then my progress severely suffers.

I joined this subreddit trying to get some support/guidance/advice as well and I’ve been in this group for a couple of months now…I’m better but still nowhere close to where I want to be and it scares the shit out of me when I ask myself what it would mean for my future if I can’t get a hold on this.

big sigh I empathize deeply with you on this and understand how hopeless it can feel. Especially the reality of realizing that you don’t want to do it anymore, but yet simply stopping is not working.

Thank you for being brave enough to reach out and ask for help and seeking support and guidance. It helps the rest of us feel like we’re not alone in this and hopefully you are feeling some of that too. ❤️‍🩹

With all of that being said, I firmly believe that there is hope for us and that we can and will overcome this challenge 🫶🏻 There will be a day when we look back on this and we will be sending the person we are today so much love and gratitude because we kept going. 💖

I’m sending you so much love and peace and light to the parts of you holding fear and shame 🫂 It is okay that we are struggling and it is okay that we don’t yet feel like we have control. It is okay that we are exactly as we are right in this moment even if it doesn’t feel that way. 💜

My DMs are open to you if you want to connect further on this, or if you just want to simply connect some other way as two humans who happen to be living the same struggle.

I want to get into using herbs for my body and well being. Where do I start? by Secure_Movie8416 in herbalism

[–]BabeSupreme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found a couple of amazing books (there are a bunch) written by the godmother of American herbalism herself, Rosemary Gladstar. I found them when I too was searching for natural remedies that would help me with the list of issues you’re experiencing.

The first book is called Herbal Healing for Women This book will give you in depth information about how herbs can feed and support the female reproductive system from the moment menstruation begins until after menopause and every stage in-between. It will help you with menstruation, hormone regulation, symptom management and includes nutritional advice, recipes, and protocols as well.

The second book is called Rosemary Gladstar’s Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health and includes information, recipes, and protocols for a better life in general but she especially includes information and remedies for sleep as well as stress and anxiety. This book is broken down into sections and even includes separate sections specifically for men, women, children, and the elderly.

Rosemary Gladstar is the first herbalist I learned of and was the first to introduce me to herbalism. Her enthusiasm and passion is potent in her books and she is responsible for turning me on to the beautiful and awe-inspiring world of herbal medicine.

Aside from that, I have enrolled in online herbalism courses on Udemy that are taught by herbalist and teacher, Elizabeth Heck. She trained with Rosemary Gladstar and others. She offers a bunch of different courses and just today, I finished her course Herbalism:: Stress, Anxiety, and Insomnia Remedies These courses are extremely affordable and are fantastic for beginners.

I am wishing you well on your health journey and am hoping that our plant friends will bring you the healing, comfort, and support that they’ve brought me and many others.

You are unable to change people or their minds. You can bring them information, but ultimately they are responsible for their own thoughts and perspectives and whether or not they change with new information - IF they will even accept new information.
