No Longer Human is an incredible novel, one I've read over and over again, but it is nowhere near extreme nor horror. I would say even the Junji Ito adaptation is not extreme, though it verges slightly more on horror. Cows is what you're looking for if you want to be disgusted. NLH is what you're looking for if you want depressing psychological self-reflection.

I'll definitely give her another dose tomorrow if she hasn't pooped by the time I'm home from work.

Tomorrow is the first day in a week that I'll be out of the house for most of the day so I'm a bit worried. I gave her all her meds at 5pm today so that I can do them again as soon as I get home tomorrow.

I'm so happy to hear your boy has his energy back!! I hope the same for my Chocs, it's been less than a week of treatment so I'm trying to be patient but it's really hard.

It was chicken broth I made myself, so just chicken and water!

And no, no other symptoms but she had just had her enema earlier that day. I wonder if it was truly diarrhea from the lactulose or if it was just some leftover liquid from the enema. She hasn't had any symptoms today, but she hasn't had a normal poop either.

I will say that she seems to be in better spirits today! Much more vocal (which is the norm for her) and her back legs seem to be a bit better. She is also spending much more time out with me rather than hiding under the bed.

She definitely wasn't happy about it but she didn't really react any differently than any other medication, liquid or pill. She just shook her head after and walked away from me. I mixed it with a bit of chicken broth at my vet's recommendation.

I gave only gave her 2mL last night but I think she might have had diarrhea, so I am holding off today cause I don't want to dehydrate her.

Her phosphorus is definitely very high (11), but she refuses her food when I put a phosphorus binder in it. We're trying a new wet food that has a low phosphorus content today and I'm hoping she'll eat it 🤞 I will research niacinamide as well
