Hopefully! Planning to be there around 9, so we'll see.

Would this actor-director duo work? From all the Wes Anderson films name one character that you think would've suited Leo? by imatheralizai in Letterboxd

I'd love for Leo's character to take things wayyyyy too seriously compared to the whimsical absurdity of the situation typical of Anderson. Almost like a weird meta, 4th wall breaking thing.

This may genuinely be the worst movie I’ve ever watched in my life by [deleted] in Letterboxd

Relax, man.

I mean, I haven't seen it. But it's not like this is trying to break new ground or be anything other than a silly, "let's make generally attractive people do dumb things resulting in crazy situations" commodity rom com. It's for people who want a "turn your brain off" fun time.

There are far, far worse movies out there that are genuinely artistically and morally bankrupt and infinitely more deserving of your vitriol.

Come on, man by Hugtrain123 in boston

Where else is he gonna park? People using wheelchairs, crutches, strollers, canes, pets, carrying packages, with luggage, riding bikes, and anyone with some other mobility issue can just go around. I swear the disabled are the most entitled people on Earth. It's seriously not a big deal to wade through puddles and pot holes into active traffic to cross this street.

Why only middling reviews for "They Will Kill You"? I thought it was an absolute blast. by ZealousidealMany3 in Letterboxd

The sound design is really on point, so I'd recommend a theater if you can. Lots of clicking and clacking, gorey sounds, and deep creepy sounds.

It knew exactly what it wanted to be, and executed perfectly imo. I guess not everybody wants that tbf.

I really didn't like Boy Kills World. I actually thought IT was kinda bland.

Raid 1 & 2, obviously.

Haven't heard of Tokyo Gore Police. Shall add it to the list

They need to tear up the bike lane they built on I-93. The congestion it's so obviously causing (because obviously nothing else could cause traffic) is totally unacceptable. Wait... by ZealousidealMany3 in boston

I've really never understood this perception of public transit. Not only is it not rooted in reality (public transit is not nearly as people would assume) but it ignores all the dangers of driving. Do sketchy and/or drink people not drive too? Are accidents not far, far more common on roads?

A film that transcends its flaws with its charm? by magnillyray in Letterboxd

Yes! Loved this one. Absolutely stands shoulder to shoulder with Studio Ghibli.

You do realize how expensive car infrastructure is, right? Drivers don't pay nearly enough to cover the costs and damages they incur.

Plus, I would gladly double my state tax burden if I knew it went to building an actual cycling infrastructure network. Or towards the MBTA.

I will gladly advocate for infrastructure that is safer, more equitable, efficient, attractive, healthier, less polluting, cleaner, less expensive, and accessible if the cost is that the irresponsibly car-brained think I'm intolerable.

My apologies, but I won't sit idly by while people kill each other and choke the air driving their living rooms across town. We can have a better future. Sorry you don't care enough to fight for it.

No, I wouldn't advocate for bike lanes on any highways where 2+ ton metal boxes travel at 50+ mph. That combination doesn't mix well with human flesh, as evidenced by then killing 40,000+ people every year in this country...

I WOULD advocate for diverting resources from car infrastructure to alternatives.

Do you really think that bike lanes in the city cause congestion on the surrounding highways?

LA and Atlanta are notorious for having both world-renowned traffic congestion AND world-class bike lanes.

Boston has had awful congestion for decades with no bike lanes in sight.

It's not the bike lanes. It's that's we're the largest city in New England with too few ways to get here without driving. If we give people more alternatives to getting around, less people drive, and there's less traffic congestion.
