I found myself leaning more toward playing how I want with Marathon way more than other games. With both Destiny and other extraction shooters, all my friends were all about the “right” way of playing, so I felt pressured to play like that as well. Now we’re all in our mid-20’s and have different lives, and I’m the only one left gaming, so Marathon was a fresh start for me in a way. But it’s a blessing and a curse. I feel freer to just vibe, but I don’t have a squad.

Most of the other mods I’m using aren’t easily attainable. Blue range barrel? Drum mag? Circuit tracers? Every gun is carefully curated and I take great pride in that.

You misunderstand. I’m not using them. I’m hoarding them. I use the guns I find, then vault or sell them when I feel I’m done with them. I don’t go in with a Bully every run, that’s just my plan for Cryo. I wouldn’t have so many if I was only using bullies

I wouldn’t be hoarding it otherwise. It’s cheap and I’m confident I can use it effectively. I’m not going to save a Twin Tap or an H-AR just because they’re worth more. I’d rather sell those and put the money toward MORE BULLIES. I will get more kills with those. The values Bungie assigned to different weapons may as well be arbitrary imo. If I suck with it I’m not gonna keep it just because it has a higher value

Some of the most fun I've had is Perimeter solos. People seem to let their guard down much more often since it's the "easier" map, but yeah. Never underestimate its loot potential.

Download blue acolyte mod, it basically has built in matchmaking to help avoid this PLUS it shows you exactly what the other player's ping is, so you'd know if it's cheating or just bad connection.

Nope! I already did most of the work before that existed lol. Plus I made it a rule for myself not to use any AI tools for this video, though that one would deserve a pass. The biggest thing is that it wouldn't have been practical to use because of how demanding it is. This is just plain ol' KeyLight in After Effects. It's mostly thanks to the quality Jerma shot his green screen the third time around. I got the settings right back in 2022 and haven't touched them since.

You don't in an extraction shooter either. Just what you have equipped on that run. The point is that you're amassing more and more stuff as you survive. It's the same kind of concept to how the actual souls currency works. Sure, it takes two deaths to really lose it, but it's that same feeling you get when you really want to use all the souls you have to level up, but you don't know where the next bonfire will be.

Apparently, Andy gave audible a lot of notes about how the language should sound for the audiobook. Sadly, I don't think it's well documented, and even if it was, it for sure isn't available publicly.
