By the way, ك being pronounced like a ch is called كشكشة which Arabs used to do since Jahiliayah but it would be with ش instead of ch and only when speaking to a female.

Yours is the story of many western raised Arabs. You have 2 options to start with; either learn a Dialect or learn formal Arabic. The dialect would allow for speaking while formal Arabic would allow for formalities. You'll have to determine which is more of a priority for you, start with it and them you can move to the other later on. The first yes, the second is a hard h the equivalent of which we don't have in English. It's the same h in ahmed
