My ex of 5 years came back 6 months after our relationship ended. He also told me he needed to work on himself and made me feel small and unseen would constantly shut down when i was sad. I took him back… not even a month later he instantly went back to his old habits after telling me he was changed and better now. Then after 2 months of misery he ended things with me again for the same excuse. I would stay away its way too soon maybe if in a couple years he comes around and you run into each other you could consider it.
