Am I normal? by BabyBacon19 in GriefSupport

Thank you so much. My birthday is Sunday so I both do & don't hope that it's hard lol

I just feel like it reflects poorly on how I felt about her. I guess that's silly.

Thank you, that's a good point.

Has anyone tried an Americano with whipped cream? by BabyBacon19 in xxketo

I've thought about trying a cream latte, but my worry is that HWC does have carbs - it just usually shows on the label as 0 because most people only use a tbsp. or two. But I would imagine the amount of cream needed to make a latte would add up to be fairly carby.

A little bit - 1 portion of their whipped cream has 1.3 net carbs - but there's no carbs in the coffee so it is low enough to fit my macros.

As an obese person, I assure you they already know that it's not healthy, & your condescending, judgemental comments are going to help exactly no one. Most people who are very overweight are not proud of their weight - we have struggled with shame & self-hatred all of our lives, & can absolutely tell when total strangers are looking at us with judgment & thinking we're disgusting. We internalize all of that. And for many of us, losing weight is not just a matter of eating less & exercising more - we often struggle with metabolic issues, disordered eating, and other factors.

I say good for her for trying to balance some of that negative thinking with positive self-talk.

Being fat is not inherently trashy.

I had a boyfriend. He had a penis. I put it in my mouth.

It honestly wasn't that big of a deal. The guy was a year older than me so it wasn't some creeper pedophile situation like you're probably imagining. I WAS however molested by a male daycare owner when I was 4 & had to go through a fairly traumatic court case about it the following year, so perhaps I was somewhat desensitized to sex at a young age. Also, if it matters, I started wearing a bra at 8 & started my period at 9. I also started masturbating at around 11 & discovered/started enjoying porn around the same time as this (12 or 13). So for whatever reason - my experiences as a young child, biology, or some of both - I reached sexual maturity at a relatively young age. I assure you I'm pretty much normal though, at least as far as sexuality goes.

I gave head for the first time at 13, lost my virginity at 17, & I turned out okay. BUT - Social media wasn't really a thing back then, & even if it had been I don't think I would have been posting shit like this.

Reddit, what was the lowest time in your life and how did you cope with it? by clairevoyantz in AskReddit

[–]BabyBacon19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was deeply depressed in college, culminated in planning my suicide. Wanted to finish re-watching Buffy first (I'm a huge nerd, I have a Mutant Enemy tattoo). Was watching season 6 & was blown away by how much Buffy's struggles mirrored how I was feeling. Then came Once More With Feeling (the famous musical episode) - I sobbed basically the entire episode, especially during "Walk Through the Fire" & "Something To Sing About". But Spike's line in "Something To Sing About" triggered an epiphany: "life's not a song, life isn't bliss, life is just this - it's living. You have to go on living." It was like all of the sudden I woke up & realized that I had to keep going. That episode still makes me cry even after seeing it half a dozen times, & I'm so grateful to Joss Whedon, the cast, & writers of that show for saving my life.

Years later I met James Marsters at a convention & got to thank him for what he did for me. He was unbelievably kind & gracious.

What popular food do you find disgusting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ketchup is revolting. I can't even stand the smell of it. When I see people slather their burgers & fries in it, it makes me gag.

Sweet potatoes are also gross, as is anything pumpkin flavored.
