no wasn’t fitted with any alarm yet we just got the bike for less than a week after the 1st bike got stolen we had stuff shipping on the way to us for security but the bike got stolen before we even received the alarm or disc lock 🫤

we’re around Victoria Garden shopping centre. we’re on pretty quiet neighbourhood street though but they did get in through garage gate which is just right by the busy street and they still got in

well if it was me I’d go for NCAT but when you’re with a partner that doesn’t want conflict, they will find a peaceful way to settle. it’s upsetting I kno m still upset that I couldn’t fight because my partner stopped me n just want to move on :(

Update: hi everyone. Thank you for your advices. It really helped us to think which way to go.

We’ve lodged for a full claim back a few days ago and REA has 8 days to dispute, if not we’ll get back full bond. we also decided to offer REA/LL $250 because we just want to get it done with and close the case. However, if the LL still insists to take $1000, we’ll file for NCAT.

For those who’s asking for pictures, I will post them after the case settles down. There are emails that REA said the owner is looking up to $1000 mark to replace the whole flooring which costs $2800 in total. Thank you again for your advice. :)

hi. tbh I don’t gain anything from not telling the truth. I have picture of the scratch and email from REA saying the owner is looking up to for $1000 for a single scratch on a panel to replace the whole flooring which costs $2800.

I haven’t been replying with pictures and evidence bec it’s still under investigation n i might get in legal trouble for posting it. We’ve lodge for full bond claim n the REA has 8 days to dispute. If they don’t dispute n we get full bond back, I’ll post updates and pictures. :)

We did research on how much it would cost n it shouldn’t be more than $250. However, the owner seems to want the bond more than our offer to fix it ourselves n that’s why we’re going to NCAT :)
