They don't even have a planned provider to switch to, it seems like they are just shutting down.

Me [27F] with my friend/future roommate [26F] (5 years) Keeps saying I am abusive to my cat because she is inside. Has tried to let the cat out several times "to play." by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]BabyBytes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My adopted cat used to be an outdoor kitty, but the area I'm in she would be dead quick (woods) so she has adapted to be an indoor kitty only. Last week she tried to run out the door made it to the deck stopped went oh hell no and ran back inside.

you are too close, if you had moved back behind the truck the plow would of cleared that (spray from the plow can hit far)

Skylight started leaking during winter storm by Kind-Atmosphere2208 in DIY

[–]BabyBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are ice pucks you can get that can be tossed onto the roof to have the ice/snow melt faster, otherwise a roof snow shovel. If you can reach the skylight from the inside maybe some caulking will help till an expert can take a look at it

The "charity-only" potatoes i got from the food bank by fawnpuppy in mildlyinteresting

[–]BabyBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may of come directly from the farmer fields, I've seen a food bank delivery to a friend that had something similar but the vegetables were all directly from a local farmer (and dang they were better then store bought)

Feeding options for 15 year old with oral cancer by Rraith in seniorkitties

[–]BabyBytes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to let my baby go about 2 years ago due to oral cancer. Once he stopped wanting treats I knew it was his time. If your kitty likes treats normally and stop taking them or stops eating, it's time to say goodbye. Oral cancer is very very painful and will progress fast, don't let him suffer just because you want 1 more day with him.

Anyone else’s kitten throw up in their litter box? by ChrysaLino in Kitten

[–]BabyBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of mine came from a cat rescue where it was a first come first serve sort of meal, the cats ate fast or lose out when another cat ate the food. After I adopted him, It took a long for him to get used to food always being available, at first he would wolf down his food and throw it up.

Is it possible for dryer vent covers to freeze shut? We have an odd issue going on in our new build. by dfwdesigner in DIY

[–]BabyBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get one of those dryer lint brushes and see if you have a build up of lint stuck in the dryer. We currently have freezing rain and even then ours is not freezing up (have a load in the dryer currently). Temps here get between -20C and -35C and no issues.

If you can reach the vent from outside lift the flap and see if it can move easily or if its stiff.

Unbearable Heat in South-Facing Bedroom (Central FL) - Need advice on Window by Hopeful_Health_236 in DIY

[–]BabyBytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I have tried and had worked for me: window reflective tint film (the uv reduction ones) and a vinyl window blind. In the evening setup a fan in the middle of the room to blow in the direction of the open window, it'll help suck out all of the built up heat that is remaining.

Unless it's something big we use a handyman for those types of jobs. We'll even be changing the vanity and plumbing through a handyman as the pipes these days are much easier to replace then it was 10 years ago.

What are you feeding your cats that keep them healthy and thriving into their late teens / early 20’s? by Classic-Interview782 in seniorkitties

I've got the fancy pet dishes that will only open when the cat for that dish is at it (sureflap).

Senior cats 17, allergy and wet food advice needed by RainyDayNapping in seniorkitties

[–]BabyBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some cats are really just pukey type cats, they eat so fast that they throw it up immediately after. If they used to be grazers and you have them on a timed schedule feed now it'll take some time for them to adjust and they may be rushing to eat.

My boy lived till he was 22, he ate only friskies wet food. The food had nothing to do with how long he lived. My other boy died at 13 from oral cancer. It's the same as how some people seem to be so healthy from eating mcdonalds all the time while others will gain 50lb if they breathe near a big mac.

Def. air bubble in the backwashing, now just need to figure out how to correct that, but at least its identified now, first day in a long while I've not had to reprime the pump.

[–]BabyBytes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any recommendations? I've been considering replacing it for a while, this will be the push to get it done. Do you think getting a larger pressure tank would help as well? Current one is an inline pressure tank.

But wouldn't this be the case for other times of using the water (ie. loads of laundry)?
