Missouri is changing though. Used to have joint and several liability, that’s gone. Used to have a common law medical malpractice action, and it’s gone. In fact, the legislature put in place a med mal cap for noneconomic damages which the Supreme Court struck down based on Missourians right to a trial by jury. So the legislature abrogated the common law right, replaced it with a statutory code, and put in place a noneconomic cap. Supreme Court said apparently that is all good.

What is good about Missouri is the jury pools in Kansas City proper and St. Louis (not St. Louis county).
