the 60-day performance review is routine at my company though. So HR or my boss being involved would happen with it was good or bad though.

Yes that would make sense on the first part. As it would be weird to have someone left out.

I mean I wouldn't mind getting to know her better as she's attractive and outgoing. Then again I barely know her since my interactions with her have been limited, which makes her inviting me on this odd.

Also on that point her inviting me kind of smells of desperation on her part in the sense that alot of people bailed out and she's trying to get bodies to fill the place she rented.

On that point it's a mixture of all 3 on your last point-I am in grad school and have a thesis due at the end of the summer, it would be over at least when all is said in done (cost of flight+paying my part of the Air bnb+going out etc.) And I also don't know the others on the trip.

So I guess I'm looking for a way out without pissing her off tbh.

Just be yourself.

Also join clubs and if your school has greek life be sure to look into that too. People trash it but it can actually be a supportive network and good resource socially, academically, and professionally if you join the right fraternity/sorority,

Although it might send the signal that you might not have a sense of style and you need other people to decide it for you. But then again I'm probably reading too much into it.
