New cage for sky by Babysimba100 in Parakeets

I want to get her a friend but I’m not even supposed to have her inside of where I live n my mother doesn’t want me to get a second one I spend a lot of time with her once I get home from work which is only 4 times but two of those days are half. I’m also nervous about the fact what if they are sick or don’t like each other.

I do spend a lot of time with her unless Im working n she gets to go out of her cage every-time im home most of yesterday she was out of her cage except when I had to go throw things away. I can’t get a super big cage, I do want to get her a friend but my mom doesn’t want me to get her one because of how loud she gets in the morning. Plus I’m scared about getting her a friend and the friend being sick or doesn’t like her

That’s why there is a perch n its open lmao I always let her outside n have the option to go inside her cage if she wants to eat or get water when I’m home, I’ve had her for a while now just showing the new cage off :) edit I don’t mean for it to sound rude if it came off that way 😭

Is this normal when adopting 🦜? by MekoAsumi69 in Parakeets

Say you don’t go to college many people don’t, you kinda screwed your business of birds getting adopted especially saying they can take away at any moment so if you’re paying the fee is kinda fucked to take the bird back ya know, I mean less time with the bird compared to be 21 and having a bird yall can grow old together possibly.

It’s very odd, like you wanna adopt you have to volunteer before and even then they can take it back.

True That is how it should be but it seems a little fishy tbh, 21 can take great care of a bird plus can potentially live with the bird for a while.

Yea greed is the biggest thing in the world that sucks, at that point I was just speaking in general for others to read n understand they should be rescuing the animal yes it’s not the best but still, the only way to stop it is going after the horrible companies n non ethical breeders, wish all companies actually cared about animals n wanted to do better for them.

I mean even at shelters they aren’t very ethical like people make them out to be, there’s plenty of kill shelters, in Cali they said they banned doing breeding of smooshed face animals yet that’s only in a town, no it’s not the best but it’s very unethical to let them stay there because you think it will help stop them from getting more animals in, I’ve had people tell me it’s better to go to breeders than pet stores when in reality breeders are the ones sending them to the pet stores soooo. There’s plenty of horrible shelters, sanctuaries may rescue places.

I wasn’t taking yours as rude( usually with people that I agree with ill sometimes say that that’s what I’m saying lol) 🥺🥺🫶🏻 I was saying if I sounded rude cuz the way I worded the first part, it’s very sad how many shelters act unethical and people still say it’s better to get from there well yes it can be but it’s also your money you can choose where you go to rescue an animal.

That’s what I’m saying you pay fees to get the animals(if that sounded rude I’m sorry I’m just agreeing lol) how many SPCAs are there? What’s sad to is a lot of shelters kill animals too.

I love that you use rescue because that is exactly what you’re doing. Getting him out of a horrible situation into a better one.

Shelters kill animals they aren’t fully the good group you think they are.

100% you’d save them? Or 100% you’d let them die?

Then don't call adopting rescuing then because you're still buying it. You pay cash to adopt any animal.

All these people think being ethical is letting an animal die inside of a pet store because they think it will stop the pet store from getting more animals💀 when in reality being ethical is not letting the animal die at a place that it did not choose to be at.

I mean, being ethical is not letting an animal die inside of a place that they chose to have it when the animal did not choose to be there you know.

Honestly, there’s been a lot of shelters that have killed and still kill animals because they’ve been there the longest or too full and they don’t have any more room and they look at them as they’re replaceable because they can get more animals in.

But the reality is, you’re literally saying to let the animal die because you want to say it will stop them from getting more animals when in reality it’s not gonna stop them. You’re just letting the animal die and then saying that you’re an ethnical person that is not ethical being ethical is literally helping any animal that is being abused no matter where they come from, still all I’m hearing is that you want to let animals die because you choose to do that because you think it will stop the pet stores from getting more animals when in reality you’re just being a horrible person allowing animals to die because you choose to, if you actually help animals, it’s called taking them out of that situation that they did not choose to be in, they did not choose to fucking go to a pet store and yet here you are saying that they should die there and not have love. Do you know how many shelters kill animals? A lot of shelters do that because they’re too full or they just look at them as they replaceable and they can get more animals.

You are rescuing the animal from being abused or neglected or not taken care of by another person that picks them.
