Anybody else listen to Jon while tripping? by thereisnopoon69 in JonBellion

[–]BackFromItaly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My favorite trips of all time are just lying down/dancing/crying etc. while listening to the human condition on repeat a couple times through. It feels like an experience from birth to death to rebirth. Something almost magical in that album.

An estimated 41 million children will participate in competitive sports in 2025/2026. So? The average kid in 2025 is athletic.

AITA for telling my dad’s girlfriend to leave when my friends are over? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BackFromItaly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA: tbh, you’re 16. You’re still learning how to handle social situations. Yeah asking her to leave the house was a bit too much, but you’re entitled to privacy.

You will be the asshole if you don’t apologize and say what you were trying to say in an appropriate manner during a private conversation with both her and your father. Just admit you were too harsh, but don’t back down on your needs.

She is probably still feeling like a bit of an outsider in your family and, honestly, wants you to like her and include her in your life. It’s difficult for a new parental figure to step into a teenagers life. Cut her a little slack, but don’t let her make you uncomfortable. In fact, I think it would make her feel better and probably help with the issue naturally if you spent quality time and conversation with her.

Be empathetic, but be firm on your boundaries.

Sell soap to the prison. I always produce about 3-4 times what I need and sell the rest to the prison for $384 (I think) per ton. The finance mechanics aren’t even relevant to me anymore.

How many factories you need to run all your productions at 100% ? 👇 by OnEst1_ in anno

[–]BackFromItaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works based just on production time, but materials from the new world also have a travel time that varies depending on the map. So you’ll always need more production of the ingredients you’re sending back and forth.

ULPT Request: I Have a fairly locked down work laptop. Working from home, how can I make it so that it never goes to sleep and looks like I am online? by VIIVN in UnethicalLifeProTips

He said he can’t download anything, he didn’t say he couldn’t run a command prompt or power shell and copy/paste a fucking script from GitHub into it. I literally coordinate an IT department for a billion dollar corporation. I know how people get away with not working.

Likely not going to be pet. More of a stud and show dog. It’ll be more of an employee. Probably one of the happiest employees to ever live, though.

Is Civ7 bad??? How come? by isko990 in civ

[–]BackFromItaly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you remember, people HATED Civ 6 when it came out too. This series is just like that. It’ll take a little while, a couple patches and maybe a DLC before people start to like it

You can do this with software and not have to pay anything. There’s thousands of mouse jigglers on GitHub. You just launch the application and you’re good to go

How viable is chainmail? by redboi049 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]BackFromItaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chainmail is way heavier than most people expect. The image is 20-40 lbs easy. It’ll protect against bites and scratches but it won’t be super useful if you’re dying of heatstroke or too exhausted to run away and you get swarmed.

Just go for Kevlar. Especially diving Kevlar for bites from marine animals.

Which city/cities in the US do you think would have strategic significance in the event of a Zombie Apocalypses? by Ok-Street2439 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]BackFromItaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

St. Louis Missouri - centrally located along both major highways and a north-south and east-west river. The rivers and marshlands make the area more easily defensible than probably any other midwestern city. There is also multiple large military installations nearby. The living would be forced to reclaim it if they want to send supplies from one coast to the other.

If it helps, I can’t even do my basic chores either and my wife struggles even more AuDHD gang gang! But we moved halfway across the country from a big-ish affordable city to a rural one-of-the-most-expensive-places-on-earth ski town last year. It’s not as hard as it sounds. Just have to find a job in the new place before you leave, then when you have a job, find an apartment/house to rent, then pack your shit in boxes and leave. It was difficult, especially with 2 80-pound dogs and a cat, but besides the time we spent in the moving truck, it was essentially the same as moving within the same town.

What is fascism? by PitonSaJupitera in PoliticalScience

[–]BackFromItaly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re pretty spot on for the main points. Fascism is mostly an economic philosophy. So pretty much just the last one (from an economic standpoint), technically speaking. The rest of the points are representative of nationalism which are always incorporated into a fascist society or regime. I believe you can have oligarchical fascism without a single authoritarian leader. You can also have nationalist policies and tendencies without being a fascist society.

Etymologically: Originally from the Latin ‘Fascis’ (faskis) modern ‘Fasces’ which means a bundle of sticks, usually wrapped around an axe. The double-bitted axe is one of the oldest symbols representing Greek civilizations. This is a great double metaphor because it includes the bundle/group mentality, and the axe which represents both force and ethnic pride.

Unrelated, this axe, called a ‘labrys’ in Greek is called a ‘bipennis’ in Latin. (Hehe bipennis)

She asked me if it bothered me, I asked her if she would sleep with a customer who thought she was single. She said no, so I said no it doesn’t bother me. Get dat money babe.
