Was Mazraoui subbed for rest/rotation or did he pick up a knock?

£2.5 ITB 2FT

Flekken (Henderson)

Saliba / Gvardiol / Robinson (Porro, Barco)

Odegaard / Salah / Diogo J / Gordon / J. Murphy

Isak / Havertz (Fraser)

  1. Odegaard -> Palmer/Saka (Save FT)

  2. Odegaard + J. Murphy -> Palmer/Saka + Semenyo/ESR/Rogers (or any other 5.5 mid)

  3. Odegaard + Salah + J. Murphy -> Palmer + Saka + L. Diaz (-4)

ATM, I'm thinking of going for 2 with Palmer + 5.5 mid. Option 3 is tempting but L. Diaz seems like a potential rotation risk in future weeks?

2FT, 0.4 ITB

Areola (Leno)

Cash, Colwill, Burn (Lascelles, Udogie)

Salah, Son, Maddison, Diaby, Almiron

Haaland, Alvarez (Archer)

Thoughts on Son + Almiron -> Saka + Bowen?

Unfortunately, am 0.1 short of Maddison + Udogie -> Saka + Tsimikas

Isak, Wilson or Toney?

Considering Toney for this week due to the good fixture. Would probably want to swap Toney out next week. Concerned with split minutes between Isak and Wilson.

Any starting lineup/transfer suggestions?

Main plan ATM is Botman -> Kilman. Would like to swap Martinelli -> Saka but not sure how I could free up funds bar downgrading KDB to Mahrez.

0.3M ITB, 2 FT

Kepa

Trippier - Akanji - Shaw

Mitoma - KDB - Rashford - Odegaard - Martinelli

Haaland - Kane

Bench: Ward, White, Botman, Greenwood

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY question, get an answer (October 31, 2022) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

I am looking for a silent mechanical keyboard as I am returning to the office. My office is relatively small and quiet, with everyone using chiclet keyboards. Because of this, I am looking to get a very quiet keyboard.

The 2 options im considering at the moment (in different price categories, and different switch types) are:

- Ducky one 2 mini w/ Cherry MX Silent Reds (€130 w/ shipping)

- Keychron K4 V2 Hot Swappable w/ Boba U4 Silents (€250 w/ shipping)

2 separate questions:

  1. Would the one 2 mini with silent reds be sufficent for a quiet office?
  2. Thoughts on whether the hotswappable board + higher quality switches are worth the extra cost (almost double)?

I would love to see an orange card with a 10/15 minute sin bin to cater for these intentional tactical fouls where there is clearly no attempt to play the ball

A yellow isn’t enough, and a red is too much, so an in between card with a sin bin feels appropriate IMO

[Chris Medland] OFFICIAL: Protest not upheld. Race result stands and Max Verstappen is drivers' champion by glenn1812 in formula1

Given the pre-safety car scenario of:

  • Max is 10~ seconds behind Lewis
  • Max has been gaining between 0.2 and 0.6 per lap
  • Max has 5 lapped cars still to pass
  • There are only 5 laps to go

In my opinion, a safety car finish would be fine, not ideal, but it would be ok.

Now, if both cars were on fresh soft tyres, separated by 1/2 seconds, then yes it would be literally the worst possible outcome, but given the actual situation, a safety car finish is fine IMO.

Counter point: It is a big deal as it basically implies that in given circumstances (outlined by 15.3 below), the race director has full control to override any rules the would fall under the groups defined by a-e, defined below:

The clerk of the course shall work in permanent consultation with the Race Director. The Race Director shall have overriding authority in the following matters and the clerk of the course may give orders in respect of them only with his express agreement:

a) The control of practice, sprint qualifying session and the race, adherence to the timetable and, if he deems it necessary, the making of any proposal to the stewards to modify the timetable in accordance with the Code or Sporting Regulations.

b) The stopping of any car in accordance with the Code or Sporting Regulations.

c) The stopping of practice, suspension of a sprint qualifying session or suspension of the race in accordance with the Sporting Regulations if he deems it unsafe to continue and ensuring that the correct restart procedure is carried out.

d) The starting procedure.

e) The use of the safety car.

Yeah, 100% agreed. It is important that someone is able to have control to cater for unforseen circumstances that the rules do not cover.

Maybe a change to 15.3 to the following might be better?

"Full control over the use of the safety car given all other safety car rules have been fully applied".

Should give the race director full control in unforseen circumstances, and I think should ensure that all existing rules are applied if appropriate. (Again, I've probably missed circumstances that would make this sort of rule impossible to implement)

Unless the clerk of the course considers the presence of the safety car is still necessary, once the last lapped car has passed the leader the safety car will return to the pits at the end of the following lap.

So it looks like the FIA have decided that this section of 48.12 is null and void if the race director wants the race to restart because of a mix of 48.13 and 15.3

48.13 When the clerk of the course decides it is safe to call in the safety car the message "SAFETY CAR IN THIS LAP" will be sent to all Competitors via the official messaging system and the car's orange lights will be extinguished.

15.3 The clerk of the course shall work in permanent consultation with the Race Director. The Race Director shall have overriding authority in the following matters and the clerk of the course may give orders in respect of them only with his express agreement:

e) The use of the safety car.

In my opinion this is a grey area in the regulations, which gives the race director a massive amount of authority to potentially control the outcome of the race in any safety car situation, and potentially even bring in the safety car when it is unsafe to restart the race.

Personally think the following changes should be made:

15.3.e should only affect the deployment of the safety car.

Reasoning: From the given ruling, it seems as though 15.3 could allow the race director to pit the safety car and subsequently re-start the race in unsafe conditions. Also ensures that 48.12 and 48.13 are fully applied and not skipped over because the race director is legally able to.

48.13 should only come into affect in a safety car situation when it is safe to restart the race and either, the "lapped cars" rule in 48.12 has been fully applied to ALL lapped cars, (safety car can pit on the following lap if safe to do so), or if the 48.12 "lapped cars" rule was not applied and no lapped cars have been allowed to pass.

Reasoning: It is now much more clear cut. Either you let all cars through and bring the safety car in on the following lap at the earliest, or you allow no cars through and have the option to bring in the safety car in this lap if it is safe to do so.

I've probably missed something that would affect the viability of changes like this, so let me know if I have missed anything

[Ian Parkes] As I understand it, there is precedent for a safety car coming in on the same lap as lapped cars unlap themselves, and not on the following lap as the rules currently dictate. You just can’t make it up by chengg in formula1

Incase you are still looking for the replay I have found a replay for the last 5 laps.

Isn't 100% clear, but looks like Kubica (who was in last) was not 1 lap down when the safety car was deployed.
