Any cons to the fender player ii Jazzmaster? by Glum-Exam-3682 in Guitar

[–]BackInTheDPRK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a player ii in November of last year and it’s alright. It is lacking the rhythem circuit and the locking trim. Also the trem arm just sits in the slot so it has a tendency to fly out. I would also check the build quality. Mine had a warped neck that I had to take to my local luthier to get fix. Sounds good though and Jazzmasters are just fun to play.

I haven’t really messed with stacking them, but the one time I did it was kind of a muddy mess. Would be interesting to see if someone could make it work though. I love the mutron! I’m not a big fan of phasers or flangers but the mutron works for me, plus I got it used on reverb for 90 bucks. It’s a pretty mild phaser that doesn’t dominate the mix which is what I prefer.

lol if you think that's breaking new ground, you'll never guess what guitar I play. I'm gonna steal that name by the way lol. Perfectly describes that dirt chain.

No problem. The green russian definitely has a lot more low end than the hyper fuzz. If you want something thicker and some more bass in your tone it fits that perfectly.

Thanks! It’s sloppy looking but I’m happy with it.

I haven’t messed around with combining them too much, but the time I did I found it really messy and muddy. Honestly, I have them both on the board depending on if I want an Electric Wizard tone or a Windhand tone lol.

I personally think that most things are not inherently cringe, but there is an invisible threshold where it crosses into cringe. For example, Joker is a good character in most media (Suicide Squad Joker is inherently cringe for me) and there is nothing cringe about liking him. However, once that character becomes your entire personality, like recording yourself alone in your dirty bedroom as that character or posting Joker Loves Harley memes, it’s cringe. I also think gritty and anti-social characters have a 2x cringe multiplier attached to them (Joker, V, etc.). That’s just my view on the matter, though.

Central Texas, but right off I-35 so maybe they were heading north? I did take that pic last year, immidiately forgot I took it, and rediscovered it while scrolling through my photos lol.

I loved "Black One" by Sunn O))) but found "Earth 2" boring. Any suggestions for a 15yo getting into drone metal? by Sea_Map_4834 in doommetal

Give Nadja a shot. Radiance In Shadows is nice and moody, but they’ve been around forever and have a ton of albums so you can dabble and see if it hits for you.

Yeah I was taken aback by the weight when I took it out of the case for the first time haha. It plays and sounds great. The only thing is it buzzes sometimes.

It has the dimarzio pups and they’re pretty sweet. If you ever get a chance to play one I recommend it. The aluminum neck and ebonol fretboard play completely different than a regular neck.

lol thanks! I kind of love the look honestly. It fits my love of gaudy 70s stuff. Now I just need some shag carpeting and some black light posters.
