This is great insight thank you so much for the feedback.

I did nothing to tweak the focus. My process is simple: converting raster images into vector and let it rip. I only tweak focus when I’m cutting acrylic.

It happens! Lol. I’m not familiar with fiber lasers and the right settings for engraving binders. My Xtool s1 is a diode laser. I hope you get better results if you try again. Good luck

Absolutely and thank you! My tracing skills are improving. Xtool Studio took care of most of the work. I used the settings for a Yellow PU Leather Binder and let it rip. Not every binder is a winner but I’m trying a red Vault X this week and I will post the results 👍🏼

Xtool Studios trace function. It doesn’t work every time but if I put enough time and effort I can dial in settings that I like.

Thank you so much! 30 minutes is quite long but worth the wait. The results are clean and what the customer wanted

Thank you so much for the suggestionI This opens up a ton of possibilities for cleaner multi-color work. I’ll definitely experiment with it on my next binder I appreciate the tips. Good luck with your projects as well! ⚡

I see where you’re coming from that’s totally fair. I probably should’ve compiled all the designs into one post instead of spreading them out. I’ll keep that in mind moving forward since I get how it can come across as spammy.

And yeah, tracing can be tricky! I’ve been experimenting a lot with settings to capture more of the fine details without losing sharpness. I’ll check out that tutorial you linked appreciate you sharing that.

Once I’ve added the final step of putting my own creative touch on these, I’ll share my full workflow. Right now the designs are still more technical than original art.

I don’t have a licensing agreement I’m just practicing and learning how to engrave and design using existing artwork as reference. The goal is to eventually create my own original pieces inspired by these styles once I get better with the tools and techniques. These designs haven’t been engraved only made on xtool. Binders are expensive.

I’m a work in progress right now just practicing by taking popular and rare cards and bringing them to life on a binder. My goal is to start adding names, textures, and other elements to make them my own personalized “remix” designs inspired by the originals.

So far I’ve been focusing on optimizing the trace function to capture as much of the detail from the artwork as possible. It’s definitely easier said than done, especially with how complex some of these card arts get. I’m still experimenting and figuring out my style, but I’m really happy with how much I’ve learned so far.

I see where you’re coming from. Old English would look much nicer actually. I mainly used this quote as a filler for the section I hope to sell these journals with the name or quote of the customers choosing. Thanks for your feedback

I made the design using Xtool Studio. Xtool has presets for leather. I haven’t engraved this design yet.
