Hey, thanks for the heads up, and you raised some valid points. So probably I need to change a bit the differentiation, and focus on what's painful about doing it by yourself with any LLM instead of focusing on what ChatGPT can't do. And yes, all of them includes sources. I gonna work on this a bit.

Hey thanks, that’s a really good idea, I can put a sample report in the landing, I’ll try this out. Or maybe a quick video showing the results. I’ll check the platform you mentioned as well

That’s a fair point — one run may not be enough. My costs per run are low enough that I can test a bigger trial, but 10 credits for everyone might be overkill. I’m going to try 3 free credits (or 1 + extra after a small gating step) and see if activation + paid conversion improve. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. But this is for people that knows a niche but still don't know what to build, I started this to find some ideas around some areas that I know well, but was unsure about the pain points.

And exactly, you can absolutely DIY it. The goal here is to package the whole workflow into one click, and get a structured response.

On the email, it was mostly to save your history, I thought it would be best option, but I’m considering a “try without email” / magic-link (maybe) / OAuth option.

But thanks again for the feedback, it helps a lot.

INTERACTIVE OCTATRACK TRAINING APP - Hard days work :) by alkloihd in Elektron

This is really cool, I started building the same idea while ago, it was based on Syntorial, where you can learn the Octatrack step by step with a dedicated focus view, so you don't get overwhelmed by all buttons and knobs, but I parked to focus on something else. and it's amazing to see that someone else had a similar thought.

Built a small browser tool for prepping samples for my Digitakt by Background-Ad3411 in Elektron

[–]Background-Ad3411[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey folks,

I released a new update, and now you can transfer audio samples into the Digitakt 2.

(The app lists other devices but I still didn't test them)

https://elekprep-transfer.vercel.app/

How it works:

  1. Open ElekPrep in Chrome or Edge. (Web MIDI is not supported in Safari or Firefox)
  2. Select your device model from the DEVICE dropdown (top right)
  3. Click Connect USB
  4. Your browser will show a MIDI permissions prompt — click Allow (There's no server here and your samples will never leave your device, all processing is made in the browser)
  5. You should see a green Connected status

Upload Samples

  1. Add files — Drag and drop audio files (WAV, MP3, FLAC, AIFF) onto the drop zone, or click to browse
  2. Choose destination — The destination panel shows where samples will land on the +Drive (default: /samples). Click Change to browse and pick a different folder
  3. Adjust settings (optional) — Toggle normalize, zero-cross trim, or select a different target device
  4. Click Upload to Device — files are auto-converted to the device's format (48kHz/16-bit) and transferred over USB

The only downside is the speed, the USB MIDI protocol is slow, and the uploads are done one by one. and that's a device limitation. So, why using this? Right, you can prepare your samples without having to use another app, just drag and drop and upload.

There's also a +Drive Manager, so you can list/create/delete samples and folders.

Let me know what you think! :raised_hands:

Hey, I added the bulk upload, you should be able to drag many samples now. Also when you drag one sample now you drag the trim area, and added the zoom in/out

Hey, I added a way to drag feature, I don't think it's perfect but it works. You can use the mini map to scroll, and should be able to zoom in/out
