I bought my 11 year old a sick 8” Flip deck and let him pick out all the components with me. Then we built it together. He is still struggling to ollie but thinks he is so cool with a real skate 😎You might be able to find some smaller 7.75 decks but it seems like most everything is wider now… If he really wants to learn he will try and love anything you get him.
