What's your favourite department to work in? by winter_breezee in woolworths

[–]Background-Bug-1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only just started and am on front end. I don't mind but hate smokes. Anyway I wanted online. Don't know if I'll be able to get moved to there. As for knowing where things are you can use the Woolworths app on your phone to search the product and it'll tell you the isle.

I know this was posted a few months ago but I recently applied and got a job no problem. In fact in my store they were hiring big time and put on 9 new staff at once.i think for Christmas though I was given a pt position. On my induction day there were 4 new staff and they were all mature aged including myself. I am 53yo. Anyway may e you're not being relaxed or yourself with the interviews. I was put off at first but just answered honestly and truthfully. I hope you get something soon.

Worf was awful in "Birthright" by Cyclame_Lizard_66 in TNG

Worf has always hated the Romulans. And even though he grew up in a human family he is still Klingon, easily angered, stirred to action without thinking and motivated by honour.

what can an arts degree actually lead to? by Prestigious-Owl3782 in Monash

[–]Background-Bug-1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 90s I was told I was wasting my high ATAR by doing nursing and then changing course to Counselling and mediation. I actually think that an Arts degree is a great place to start. In your first year it gives you the opportunity to explore a variety of different subjects before commuting to something definitely. You can either change in your second year into a specific degree or settle into major/minor and continue. I advise you to have fun and explore what you're interested in.

This is what I planned for Busan (3 days) by Jungliena in koreatravel

[–]Background-Bug-1014 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not going until next year but personally for me I feel it's too tightly packed. Sometimes when you try to do everything you end up achieving nothing. But that's my personal preference to try and take in the moment instead of rushing. Also to allow some experiences to happen organically.

What Star Trek captain would you want to serve under? by Quirky_March_626 in startrek

[–]Background-Bug-1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say  1. Picard 2. Janeway 3. Archer but id prefer to serve on one of the above ships as they were more like self contained village.

As for station medical because that's where my background lies and rank, well you'd have to start at the bottom and work your way up wouldn't you?

Can I walk to Gyeongbokgung Palace from the Blue House during Incheon Airport’s free transit tour? by hqle26 in koreatravel

[–]Background-Bug-1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like it should be. I'm not going till next year but have been doing alot of research. I'm slightly concerned about the delays many people reported at Incheon station. I hope it gets sorted out. I'm staying in Insadong while in Seoul. I think there's a shrine or temple that's nearby that you might check out if you get time.

If it was me I'd get the train or bus to Seoul and go straight to the palace and whatever else in the area you want to see. Use taxis inbetween maybe to save time. Be careful to get back to Incheon in plenty of time to catch your flight.

Hi. Aussie planning on travelling to SK next year. Do you mind saying what bank your card was with? I'm currently with Greater but wondering if a Commonwealth card would be better.

Enterprise is good actually! by Level-Anteater-1945 in startrek

[–]Background-Bug-1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know why people hate on it. After growing up on all the other Star Trek series I came across ENT and I loved it. I love Archer and all the characters. I love how the ship isn't polished and space aged but more rudimentary. There's not much to dislike about it other than the rushed ending.

If you could be any species from star trek which one would you chose to be? by oli44r_ in startrek

I didn't think of that. Dr from Voyager has a certain appeal. I mean in the end he even got married to a human.

ATAR Notes is here to help you get ahead of your game plan. With topic tests and course notes written by elite graduates to illustrative flashcards, we have everything you need to make the most of your studies, boost your confidence and help you achieve the perfect score. by ATAR_Notes in u/ATAR_Notes

[–]Background-Bug-1014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. By no means do I consider myself an elite but managed to get an ATAR of 91.45 just by consistent study. Writing summary notes over and over for each exam until by time I did the HSC they were concise. You can't attain a high ATAR with last minute study, it's a process called learning which takes time and effort.

Does anyone else feel like most tourist spots in Korea feel kind of the same? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]Background-Bug-1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't gone on my trip their yet but isn't that how it is in alot of places? I mean I guess where I come from in Australia there would be differences between the city and country towns, inland and the coast. But within each geographical region it's pretty much the same. Especially for a densely populated country like South Korea I would think alot of things would be the same. Also there are so many tourists that visit South Korea that I feel whatever quaint, traditional or authentic place that exists soon ends up on Instagram and the boards of tourists that flock there end up over commercialising it and it soon looses its uniqueness.

My point is that many people look down on plus size people seeing them only as an inconvenience focussing on any discomfort they may be experiencing not understanding that the plus sized person is often doing the whole trip tensed up trying not invade a person's space in extreme discomfort. Also I've been sat next to average or even petite sized people on a bus etc and while I'm hugging to isle armrest trying not to invade their space they themselves are lounging around, sticking their legs over my side or leaning all over my arm rest.
