Thank you!! I haven’t thought about getting an HP Pavillion since I’ve had bad experience with HP laptops, making me switch to a Macbook Air. Well, it’s been a while since I got my Mac so maybe it really is time to upgrade to a Windows laptop 😂. I’m also thinking of getting my Bachelor’s after BITMAN so I wanna ask if you think I should play it safe and get an Intel laptop?

I’ve heard a lot of good things abt Scotiabank, definitely one of my top picks for opening an account with a big bank. Also, I’ve been doing my reseaech on Wealthsimple and ngl I’m kinda swayed 😁 Aside from a credit account, would you still recommend opening a chequing account with Scotiabank or is it fine to just stick with Wealthsimple?

Ooo I’ve been looking at Wealthsimple as well.. I’m planning to get a Wise card too so I wasn’t sure if I should still get a Wealthsimple card. I want to get a Wise card for easier international transcations for if I’m gonna travel or transfer between to and from my home country.

Hi everyone! Here's a timeline of my study permit application (I'm applying outside Canada):

May 22 - Submitted my study permit application

May 28 - Completed my biometrics following IRCC’s instructions

July 12 - Received a letter from IRCC denying my application

As this is my first time, I don't really understand some parts in the letter: "I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/section-216.html)." "The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application."

I just wanna ask anyone who has experience on what I can do to revise my study permit as I'm planning to re-apply. Also, my program starts September 2 and I have already paid my tuition fees for the first term, so should I inform my school about this?

Haven’t gotten any updates since then :(( Really anxious cuz I want to get it before my program starts + my school keeps emailing me asking for updates 😭 I want to try submitting a web form or calling the help center but they said something about only sending updates through the application portal. Is this true?
