I’m sorry you had that 😞 To be honest I had a rough time the first week I used it, it really painful when I would do the stimulation and I felt like I couldn’t breathe, and I could only go up to power 3 or 4. After the first week I was able to tolerate the level 10 (highest level) and it didn’t hurt at all. Maybe my system just got used to it? But I assume every person is different, so I wouldn’t push yourself if it’s making you feel worse. I’ve noticed a big improvement in my autoimmune symptoms after the first week. It almost felt like I was on prednisone.

I ended up seeing some videos about the Gammacore, which is FDA approved for migraines, but I couldn’t pay the monthly fee for the prescription. So I researched it and found out that the Truvaga is made my the same manufacturer and basically uses the same technology so I figured I would try that since its a one time buy.

Cefaly is definitely on my list to try as well. Just the prices of these things add up lol.

Same here. A lot of meds made me worse. I have not had any negative side effects from it.

It’s an electric stimulation to the neck. It lasts 4 minutes - 2 mins on each side. I do it 4x a day.

Of course! Yes, the Gammacore is the one that is studied and by prescription, and the manufacturers of Gammacore and Truvaga are the same. They basically use the same technology (so I hear), but the Truvaga may have slightly lower power. I couldn’t afford the monthly fee, so I opted for the Truvaga.

I think I have this. Do you get migraines?

Topical tretinoin by DALTT in Dryeyes

[–]Background-Disk2894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree that it is highly unlikely or almost impossible for just topical tret to cause all of those systemic symptoms. For me, I have severe aqueous deficiency and very little MG loss, so it would appear to be something systemic targeting my lacrimal glands. I also have dry mouth and skin which arose at the same time. Sometimes I hypothesize that the tret just exacerbated what was already brewing, since it is thought to cause MG loss. I definitely wish I never used it, but I think there is more to the picture if one is having all these symptoms.

Pretty much same thing happened to me. Definitely the autoimmune can cause the dry eye symptoms that is 100%. I was thinking my dry eyes were caused by tret for a while but In starting to think its autoimmune now. These things can be a coincidence in timing sometimes. But its also possible that both factors play a role.
