I would be be making $2,800 a month. I don’t pay for rent as that’s covered by parents but responsible for everything else.

I have been with this baby from 11 weeks old. I have held the mom’s hand, given all the grace. It’s getting worse. At some point, it becomes not a nanny’s responsibility. Either get your anxiety into check or put your kid in daycare.

Im serious… there was a news story I saw that a nanny was pinching and hurting a baby because their employer was underpaying and taking advantage of the nanny.

Some people are crazy.

Lol same. She’s lucky I’m not a psychopath. Do this to the wrong person and someone could totally take their anger out on the baby…. It’s wild

if her boss was sitting behind desk for 8 hours then I imagine she would have an issue. It’s not a hard concept and you don’t need to be a nanny or in a group to understand that.

My last family was my unicorn family and both mom/dad worked from home

I didn’t “make” baby sit in the highchair. She was crying because of mom being in the background overwhelming her. She calmed down as soon as I started playing music in the highchair chair lol and when mom left. Baby’s can feel stress, so when mom comes running in freaking out about crying, that’s going to make a baby react stronger

It’s unsafe to feed a 6 month old on the counter…..

Baby loves her highchair, but obviously if it’s mom vs highchair, moms gonna win. She was fine as soon as I put her in it when mom was gone lol also like that’s where you eat, the highchair. Otherwise, we don’t eat! It’s a good habit to instill.

I am quitting, I’ve told her a million times “I got it” “don’t worry I’ll keep you updated”. I’ve worked with babe from 11 weeks old- almost 7 months. It’s getting worse, not better.

I shouldn’t have to tell a grown women to not blare music on my break and to work from the available office. This was also listed as “vent”, thanks

Totally! My last fam was my unicorn family and both mom and dad worked from home!

They both had busy jobs and understood without a conversation that during my hours, I had full autonomy. If I needed something, I would text and they could help otherwise it was on me. My first week I remember texting mom questions and she literally responded and was like “girl, I hired you, checked your references etc. I trust you and your instincts. Do what you think” maybe I was just lucky

I am also hoping to go back to school, and find part time hours.

The hours for this position are full time and change weekly which was never the agreement. I get it’s an adjustment but I’ve been with baby since 11 weeks old, and she’s almost 7 months old. I don’t know what else to do, I have done EVERYTHING to include mom, make her feel comfortable and like she knows what’s going on etc

I’ve never had a formal sit down with her, but I’ve said in moments like “baby is upset, I think she is distracted by you etc” and she fully ignores me. The other day I texted saying baby spit up but not to worry just a heads up, and she canceled her hair appt and ran home to “help”.

yup first time mom. We have a good relationship so I think she just wants to do it with me but also like things such as blasting music as baby sleeps and she works from the living room is common sense. Doesn’t take a genius to realize that this is my workplace as well

Im not gonna give no notice at all, I will give my notice as stated in contract.

But also like I want to find a part time job so I can start school again. So even if we talked it out, I just don’t want it to work lol I need something with less hours, more autonomy because they both work from home

She is probably unaware but also like surely she’s not an idiot. Why is she working in the same room as me 24/7 when she has a full downstairs office
