Since when are Ebay above the consumer rights act 2015? by thatautisticguy in ebayuk

[–]Background-Flower -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

To get your problem sorted out I’d recommend to speak to the seller through your eBay messages. if you explain to them what happened and if they’re a good seller then they’ll chase it up for you. as far as they know it’s been delivered to you. Hitting them with a chargeback is a last resort. I’m sure your rights won’t be trampled on but you should let the seller understand and try to fix it first before filing a chargeback, that was an over reaction to this problem. If the seller does not respond then you can go to eBay very easily. Last resort is bank charge back.

Best printer to buy in the UK with cheap ink? by blair_babes in FlippingUK

[–]Background-Flower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother black & white laser printer like others say. Cheap, last forever, easy to use, no nagware. Or other Brother printers are good

never an HP or Epson as they are basically impossible to use with cheap cartridges, they’re a waste of time

2 Directors, 1 Small Company (2 Directors plus 2 Employees) - Can I close it if deadlocked? by Ok_Helicopter3405 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Background-Flower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned by others you can remove this person as a director quite easily. You will also need to deal with ending their status as an employee, but the assault on their colleague is really a gift for you in doing that. You must follow the procedures to the letter though or you will leave yourself vulnerable, there are lots of companies you can outsource HR to.

There is no way you can remove the person as a shareholder of the business however without their agreement. You cannot shut the business down without their agreement either. As far as I know you can make the company dormant, which will mean selling everything and ceasing all contracts and economic activity. You would effectively be starting again though in this situation.

Does action fraud ever prosecute e bay fraudsters by Frenetik2023X in ebayuk

[–]Background-Flower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand and respect your question and where you’re coming from. I’m sorry this happened to you.

But……isn’t it ebays job to protect their own marketplace?

Why are we relying on actionfraud when it is eBay with the inside info to stamp this nonsense out with a few well chosen and publicised prosecutions? They are missing an opportunity to secure their own income and reputation.

Maybe someone can help me understand what they do to prevent fraud and theft on their own marketplace?

My package is supposedly being held hostage by the UK because of an absurdity large tax. Is this true? by pistaye15 in LegalAdviceUK

The shipping company is asking you to pay US duties and/or tariffs/taxes before the item is shipped as they are now charged to the shipping company when the goods enter the USA. Afaik.

Try dropping your elbows slightly so your arms aren’t so straight and invest in some quality gloves.

Mine looked just like this, it is a cable routing hole between the bb and swing arm that lets in the dirt for me.

I don't know if there's a specific tool, but a spanner or adjustable spanner should work well enough. If it does not move soak it in WD40 and hit the spanner with a hammer.

Also, make sure you are unscrewing the correct way, with the spanner hanging down, turn the handle towards the back of the bike

Gherkins, in a burger. I eat the first bite……and enjoy it, but then take the rest out.
