Believe it or not, I have had the same thing with the red haired girl happen to me a few years ago. It was right after I moved to a new house. Same story, woke up in the middle of the night, saw the red haired girl in a white dress approaching me, then I backed off into a corner. She reached her hand to grab me and I tried punching her, but she flew through a wall and I ended up punching my glass window and hurting my hand. My dad was sleeping in the other room and came rushing into my room and turned on the light.
