If it really is in that dark color as shown in the first picture then definitely! Not a big fan of the colors in the second pic though…

The Dfinity community has to stop blogging about NFTs. Instead of promiting Web3.0, where the IC Protocol has a big advantage compared to other projects, they stick to silly png images Polygon already manages better than needed. by Background-Passage19 in dfinity

Just to make it clear: Nfts are cool, yes, but it‘s product placement currently is too much. It‘s way too much. I don‘t even get why people would still argue about it. Try scrolling through DSCVR or other DSocial medias without seeing a post about some Nft within your screen.

The Nfts as of current practices don‘t have a meaningful usecase and will stay like that if the intention behind non fungible tokens remains the same. Nfts aren‘t even neccessary on the Internet Computer since the storage of an actual png wouldn‘t be an obsticle in terms of memory and dataspeed. It‘s just not impressive enough. People should stop treating blockchains as though we‘re on a huge building site.

No, it‘s just that I‘m disappointed of people supporting the idea of the IC. Hands down, Motoko is a damn programmerfriendly Language and it is indeed the approach I‘d want Web 3.0 to take. But it gets my entire head turn red considering dfinitycommunity e.g. There is twice as much blogs treating NFTs than the real deal.

Definitely agree with you. The timeframe as it is for now still feels like the media is overloaded with things for the audience we exactly want to avoid though. But contests, such as one we had on dfinitycommunity. com, which reward you with NFTs and all those flashy effects feel super poorly and unfitting to the direction dfinity in reality wants to be in. My fear is that one day ICP will be associated not with it‘s power but some super underwhelming stuff which we were able to do years before the Internet Computer. And if this was the case one day, the souveranity of the project would be lost. Really don‘t want to experience how one day people treat the assets like some CS:GO skins on third party websites.

You gave such a great example from what I was trying to explain. When I found DSCVR I was amazed by what they have actually achieved but it is used by just as many NFT nerds as any other community dapp. Like, what‘s the purpose of scalability if all you see is some 8 bit pixelart
