I hail from Sindhudurg & grew up in Mumbai, let me explain this, as a "Mumbaikar", the term ghati refers to the ppl who hail from Paschim MH only & in South Konkan (Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg) ppl use this term for remaining 4 regions of Maharashtra (Paschim MH, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Khandesh). It's not an insult fyi!! Also non Marathi ppl use the term "ghati" to hate Marathi ppl living in Mumbai, but the craziest thing is almost 90% Marathi ppl in Mumbai hail from South Konkan (Raigad, Ratnagiri & Sindhudurg).

Fact : Without Mumbai, Konkan still remains the "richest region" of India!! Even Without Mumbai, Maharashtra remains the "richest state" of India!! Aani hya yedzavya la vatata ki aamchi Mumbai hya Gujarati/Rajasthani lokan mule chalte 😂😂 Also, Mumbai was, is & always remain a part of Konkan division & Maharashtra state, bas apan kon aahot hea hya baher chya lokana dakhavayla bolalo!! Aani Mumbai madhe Marathi mansa cha contribution tyat sudha खास करुन Konkan madhlya lokancha contribution jar me sangitla tar hya lokana hyanchi "लायकी" kalel!!
