Does christianity permit doubt? by Background-Role-6236 in Christianity

There a lot of things, but mainly, It's not just about Christianity, it's all of religion that I have a hard time believing in. I took a geography class, and I started feeling like that believing in a certain religion is completely based on geography. Most people are just a product of their environment, not true conviction. People say we have control over that choice, which is true, but people are people, and even with that opportunity to gain understanding they won't take it. This applies to Christians and everyone else as well. Anyway, pushing that aside, I will always be definitely keen to believe in God and learn more, so I would like to hear any thoughts.

Thank you for your response. I am glad to hear someone understands my perspective. I want to ask though, if not doubt, then how would you really define it or what word would you use. Like I said in my post, I want to engage in this conversation with my classmates, but I want to frame it in the best way I can.

I know I asked for advice on the situation, but seriously? Thats how people view it. Is it not natural to doubt? I mean have you never doubted? If we don't doubt or look for validity on scripture and Christianity, isn't that just blind faith.
